Big Data - Dangerous | Live @ JBTV

Big Data finished their JBTV set with their hit song, "Dangerous," which the crowd thoroughly enjoyed. "Dangerous," which features Joywave vocalist Daniel Armbruster, was a great success for Big Data, in fact, it reached the number one spot on the Billboard top alternative chart.
Big Data is an electronic music project created by producer Alan Wilkis in Brooklyn. In 2015, after releasing EPs titled 1.0, 1.5, and 1.6, Big Data released their debut album, 2.0, which featured collaborations with artists such as White Sea, Joywave, and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer.

The name of that awesome female singer is Lizy Ryan, I believe. She's getting next to no publicity for this, and it's very hard to find out who she is using this video as a starting point. I also am not sure she's the one singing on the version I hear on the radio. But her version of this song is the best.

@ Now that's just crappy. I play electric bass, myself, and in my experience, the rest of the band is NOT just the hired help, even if they are. The drummer and the bass play a special dance on each song, and we build a nice platform for the whole band to play on. The drummer might be a hired newby, but they are still my partner in the song. Our instruments talk to each other intimately through every number. I can't imagine dissing the drummer.

The drumming in this song sounds like "the hand that feeds" by Nine Inch Nails.

It’s not even remotely close. The hand that feeds has a straightforward 16th note hi hat pattern with open hats on the offbeats. This song has an offset quarter note hi hat pattern, so the hi hat is on the “&” of every count most of the time ( depending on the drummer I have also seen this song played with an 8th note hi hat and accents on the “&” of every count). There are some open hats in there but only for accents and or variation. The only similarity between the two is that the kick comes in on the 1&3 and the snare comes in on 2&4.
