Was a needed discusion we cant always be blaming colonialism for the harm we cause to each other.

Lukhanyiso Bavuma Colonialism is a root , we can't run away from that. people need to be emancipated in order to change perspectives. putting each other down is part of the divide and rule., our leaders are are also colonized. We need to decolonize the mind first in order to get our dignity back. Black consciousness.

@@qhaweqhawe8300 colonialism is the root but capitalism is what is left behind as a hidden side effect. The constant accumulation of wealth is what makes us blind to our fellow people's problems.

Culture and ideas evolve over time. Otherwise they become unsustainable and die. These outdated practices must go. Liberation demands change.

Ncese sisi. And to think that the CRL woman is defending ukuhlolwa when most of the kids who aren't virgins were probably raped but can't speak up for fear of judgement or not being believed. And yena she can talk coz she's rich and knows that her children's body autonomy doesn't have to be violated in order to be deemed worthy of the basic right to education. I know this iss in an old episode and I do hope that her views have changed for the better.

@@phillipmojafi4616 it's because this is the only place where they feel free to voice their opinions. There wouldn't be a domestic violence and femicide problem in this country if women were listened to and taken seriously at home and in their communities. There wouldn't be high instances of rape. Our tradition states that men are supposed to protect women but there's little of that happening.

It is because they are the most oppressed beings even way before colonialism and apartheid, our traditions and customs have been created to oppress women and this is not only African traditions but most traditions in the world even Asians and European

It's not a nation if you have tribal mentality. The comparison to Queen of England was really ironic, so what happened to decolonization? fyi Queen of England doesn't hold any power and it's a symbolic role

Africans are lost indeed, Is this America??? LGBTI, what the hell, Our children are our children let us teach them our own way. Thumbs up to the Minister we need a lot of such bursaries!!!
@fragilehandlewithcare39674 жыл бұрын
Just because you only see it on American tv doesn't mean that it was created by Americans. Even they still have anti-LGBTI views it's just that they have seen a way to profit off of it in some cases. In other cases it's because their rights are being recognised because they are legitimate. No one chooses to be gay especially in a society that hates gay or trans people. They are simply living their truths just like everybody else is supposed to and without being harrassed about it.
