I have outlander exceed tourer owned for almost two years now. I really liked their customer service and fixed price service. However reason I didn't go for even lower level phev was it didn't made money sense. I usually use to to go point A->B with family and once in three month trip with family. I dont do anything off-road and for rare occasion of snow trip and muddy road petrol only was enough for me. And yeah agree with seating position. It can be daunting but have good camera system and sensors. Tarmac mode is very fun to ride and snappy. Good fuel economy and been very happy about it. On plus side I discovered its one of good manufacturers dont collect driver data and share with third party so Im extra happy.😂

Yeah also agree on shocks and large low profile wheels. You do feel the bumps bit and you can see the acceleration and braking 😂

Drive one and you’ll change your mind, way more refinement and better handling than the Rav 4 prime. I can literally drift it, it handles as good as my old Mazda 3 on coilovers with the S-AWC AWD system based on the same as the Evo’s with rear-bias.

Fact is this is brilliant technology from a trusted brand that's a pioneer in PHEV's. Of course you'll pay a premium for a top of the range model, and why would you pay the same money or more for a tarted up diesel ute that offers far less?

A revised model is coming in 2025, with a bigger battery , cooling seats and a slight bump in power from the electric motors. Its already out in Japan, 80k is a bit too much when you can get an outlander phev starting @ 57k

80 grand lol, I would be hesitant to pay more than 50k. Tell em they’re dreamin’. Rarely see any PHEV outlander on the road - there’s a reason for that.

Mitsubishi should not have killed off the iMiEV or the R&D for a bargain level EV. There's an excellent small Leo car EV in Japan and that little ev is serious forbidden fruit for the rest of the world. What Mitsubishi has done was pioneered the Outlander PHEV in 2012 off the data and parts left over from the iMiEV but the Outlander is not enough on its own these days, especially in such an oversaturated market of crossovers.

the phev needs to be better tuned with range before consideration. Also a range extending Ev like the x trail is a promising proposition . Plus a diesel would be great. take note of Mazda

You would have to be insane to buy this over a Lexus NX. 80k for an Outlander is INSANE especially for this trim where no mechanical changes are made. Pretty sure the previous gen Outlander PHEV GSR at least got Bilstein shocks.
