Him making the comment about the age gap and maturity, actually proves that he sees a power dynamic. He threw a fit over her giving valid constructive criticism about one photo, then calls her immature for expecting him to teach her things like he said he would. The whole "youre not here to critique my work" thing really bothered me. Critique is an inherent part of art, hell even the mona lisa gets critiqued. No artist or photographer can ever reach a point where their work is so "good" that they are above critical feedback or anything similar. Of course tho, Ed believes he is.
@ryansefton98902 жыл бұрын
@Sine Nomine respectfully, I completely disagree. Yes i see what you're saying like if you're just making a painting then it's craftwork and so that can easily be critiqued but on the other hand you always want to make the best work possible and that only comes through feedback, plus if you're an artist and your art is "bad" or at the better way of saying it is it doesn't appropriately communicate what the work is trying to, then it needs to be critiqued in order to reach that.
@jaylenparson99582 жыл бұрын
as an artist youre always going to get critiqued. that goes for anything we as creators put out into the world. even when we dont ask for it. its about how hes handling it. a "professional" is allowed to be upset by critique, but whining about it like ed is doing is pretty unprofessional. all she pointed out was the photo was at an odd angle, and it was. he chose to take it personally because he was too busy trying to impress her with his skills lol the sad part is he really isnt that bad at it if he would just stop showing off for 5 seconds

If Ed is a professional photographer and been in the business for a long time, then indeed it's not Liz's place to critique him - especially in front of a client. That was unprofessional on Liz's part. That damages his image and reputation potentially and indeed he for sure knows way more about photography than Liz does. If she didn't agree with certain shots or thought the subject had "no neck" then she should have saved that for later and mentioned it to Ed in private. If Liz's goal was to "learn" from him then it didn't appear that way - she was instead criticizing his work... Since she's a novice she should have at least tried to stay humble and just be "receptive" for the duration of the photoshoot. That being said, Ed wasn't helpful or teaching Liz much - that's also true.

Liz's comment about the no neck in that photo was 100% valid criticism. Especially if trying to do beauty shots or these 'photo covers' he claims he was on (pretty sure he meant magazine covers btw), one of the 1st things I learned was to make the model's neck look as long as possible. There are certain angles that can make you look incredible and then 10 seconds later from a completely different angle you look like a whole new person. Not that it's anything new, but of course critic is a part of anything and everyone can learn no matter your skill level but Ed thinks he's the best at absolutely everything he does and is a trash human being.

In regards to the Ed’s art idea: it’s kind of like how Squidward puts a huge, bulbous nose on all his artwork. Also on an educational note: it’s not unheard of for an artist to model their creations to have similar features as themselves. It’s not usually on purpose. Although, for Ed, perhaps it is. 😂😂

I'm just waiting for the blow out fight when Liz flat out calls him neckless, and the inevitable TLC-funded reconciliation where Big Ed buys her a fancy necklace to try to make the apology about him and joke at the same time, but when she laughs he talks about how hurt he is.
@asteriasheria20532 жыл бұрын
She knows exactly what he is. She’s the one who released the recording of him berating her when the broke up before. Her friends & family hate him. She gets what she deserves by staying with him.

The way he talked to her like she was stupid pissed me off. “These numbers don’t mean anything to you” but then doesn’t explain what they mean 🤦🏻♀️

Honestly Liz was right about the models neck. Photographers will tell their models to angle their heads and chins in a certain way to elongate the neck and make it look better..which no neck ed DID NOT do 😂

As a photographer Liz was 100% correct. When shooting portraits you need to be sure the subject does not lose their neck. Also shooting portraits at night with off camera lighting is the worst way possible to show anything about taking pictures. If she wanted to learn He should of taken her out on a bright sunny day and taught her the basics and actually let her hold the camera.

Yeah his photos are literally the things we teach new photogs not to do, especially shooting at night, with no real lighting....he really shot her in the dead of night with no lighting.....
