My only problem with this truck is the battery compartment. You'd have to drive on asphalt not to have to struggle to get the battery door open since dirt gets all up in it. It's a struggle every time. This trumps all other issues, from the stickers on the body, to the roll cage in the back being weak, to whatever else. That's it. Who designed this battery compartment system? Why.

Double check all the chassis screws, my Lasernut had 2 rounded off and the rest were loose! Quality control is awful!

Lmao I just spend 250 on a mamba x system and cooked the esc first run. When we checked the data log it somehow had 25 volts go through it and I use 3s batteries lmao somehow put 6s volts through it.

Fr, good led lights ARE NOT CHEAP and they included it. I would much rather them include some banger leds than gimme perfect decals. I rather function over form😂 installed some sick led controllers in mine and I have a proper controllable led system now with brake lights after some mods🎉🎉

Great vid' ... Check the body for flex. I think you will find that the rear wheels rub on the body and the "spare tyres" will drag on the ground under hard acceleration. There is a fix where you add a square brace to the internal-to-the-body frame so that it is stiffer and doesn't bottom out. Good luck :)

@@jjtsht just from my experience traxxas has good customer service. I had a esc problem with my rustler 4x4 and they told me to send it in and they would fix it or send me a whole new one but I ended up fixing it over the phone with the guy. Horizon hobby I had a losi tenacity and snapped the chassis in half first drive not even bashing and all I got from them was a "tuff luck buy a new chassis " lol.

Honestly, at this stage I don't think it's even worth my time. I mean, the DBXL-E 2.0 hasn't been released here yet and it's been almost a year since it released in the US. Horizon have basically just cut Australia from their business model.

Well I have to admit that "disappointment" must be the company slogan at Losi. They have great ideas with their car, there is some very good and advanced engineering behind usually... but it looks like they release cars while still in the middle of the planning phases where all the details are still be set and polished. Then they might simply pull the car out of the market or release a complete new version with not a lot in common with the previous one (the LST, LST2, LST3-XL anybody?). At least they still sell the SBR, but jeez that stickers job... No thanks, I'd rather get a Mojave (and in fact I just got one! 😁)

I’ve learned a long time ago to go through every losi car and make sure everything is tight and I mean everything because on every new car they put out something is loose and it will show it’s ugly face on the first run.

It's a big deal because when you pay for a product, you don't expect it to have obvious flaws. I'm getting a new car in March....if I go to collect it and the paint work is scratched or the badges are on wonky... I'm not going to tell them it's fine :)
