I'm disappointed in that Houston museum for doing that to yall but I'm glad you stayed and enjoyed it! Love the family! I hope you enjoy the rest of Texas. I promise we treat people better than that.

Having been to this museum and felt followed myself when I attended with family in high school, I can attest to this not being out of the ordinary at this particular establishment but I'm sorry this happened none the less. I don't understand why nine kids would be an issue when school groups of 30 come through there? Anyway, just to say that your children are lovely and as someone who grew up in what I thought was a big family with five kids and a foster baby always in tow, your kids are so well behaved and actually interested and loving what you're taking them to see. What a gift! I hope the rest of your time in my home state was wonderful. I also have to thank you for your videos. They have been a gift to me as I've been battling my chronic illness heavily the past three years and am always looking for positive youtube channels to bring light into my day on the days that I'm not feeling as positive and strong. Thank you for sharing your wonderful family and just know that my fiance and I are now inspired to work hard and save so we can travel the country in an RV for a while as well. God's creation is just too beautiful to miss out on! Have a blessed evening!

The Houston Museum of the Fine Art is a cool place, but I had a similar experience when I was there on a field trip in 10th grade. Some museum worker followed me and my friend around (we were 16 a the time!) and when we sat down on a bench in a hallway outside an exhibit she told us we couldn't sit there and to rejoin our group, even though our teacher said we could be on our own. I definitely got a vibe like they didn't want us there, too.

Jude reminds me of my little guy when he was about 3 or 4. He had the part of a shepherd in our church's Christmas play. He was just supposed to stand there. No, he looked out at the audience and began trying to tell every one to smile with hand gestures. LOL They loved him. Needless to say he was a big hit that year. By the way, he is now 11 years old and is still the life of the party.

I have had experience with groups of children in my capacity as a youth worker. Sometimes, certain institutions do not seem to like groups of children walking around. I cannot figure this out because with the correct supervision, children can prove themselves to be more respectful in such " hallowed" institutions than many so called adults. It is obvious that some people in charge of some museums ( I am not painting everyone with the same brush), have no idea how to handle groups of inquisitive children. My respect goes out to you for giving the children you so lovingly care for, a rich and varied life experience. Such experiences will be remembered into adulthood, and will be remembered as a happy childhood. This amounts to a good and worthwhile life, well spent. Please keep your channel on the go, both of you are an inspiration. I have great respect for you. Best wishes.

I'm so sorry you were treated so disrespectfully at the museum, but glad the rest of your day was fun (even if you missed the butterflies). Your video brought back sweet memories. The Miller Outdoor Theater is where I saw my first live stage production back in the early '70s, as a child. Mom was raising three of us alone and we never had money for vacations. One summer, she took a week off (the first and only time) and we explored all the sights and sounds close to home (Conroe, just north of Houston). One morning, she packed enough food for all day and we set off for Houston. We did the Hermann Zoo, the plantarium, the park, and ended the day watching "The Taming of The Shrew" at the Miller Theater. Sweet, sweet memories. I'm glad you made memories with your family in Houston. Maybe the good will help ease the not-so nice ones.
