Oh, Megan. I just turned 49. The perimenopause! I'm so glad you're acknowledging this "second puberty" as part of your life updates. My mother never ever talked about this, so I've been a bit blindsided; it's so important that it be part of our conversations. I just watched a Dr. Mindy Pelz and Lisa Mosconi podcast that put a super positive perspective on our future post-menopause brains that really encouraged me. Wonderful days are ahead!

After adapting a keto lifestyle, my post-menopause brain became a super brain and my body can endure just about anything. Flat stomach and Heat flushes are a history. Never thought I would ever achieve that this easily 😅

I have those Christmas plates! I have the entire service. My husband and I gave them to my Mom the Christmas we were engaged and when she passed away, I got them. Your winter plates you could decorate with after Christmas and use them through February or early March.

I love all of your vlogs, but I actually love your random vlogs, it’s just normal life and we can understand that and I love to see y’all in your just home element. I think we’d be buds in real life. You and I are in a similar state in life. I just got my eldest graduated from college. It’s a challenge for moms when we grow the littles and they become bigs and they launch into their own lives and we now have to share them. It’s a blessed life, but it’s also hard to transition from being the most needed to their own independence… which is the ultimate mom goal to launch the children into adulthood successfully, but then there’s the hole in the heart where their constant presence is absent sometimes. Parenting is both beautiful and hard at times. I know I’m struggling with that myself. People do not speak on this stage of life enough. Merry Christmas! Inspired by your family, we did a Shepherd's dinner for Christmas Eve last night (we had to bump up Christmas one day because my husband has to work all day on Christmas day). I've always struggled to come up with traditions that my kids would actually enjoy that would take some of the focus off of presents. My 3 kids are now 2 adults and one high schooler, so I felt like I was running out of time to establish traditions and getting really grinchy about it. They loved the shepherd's dinner and got involved with it and have ideas to make it even better next year! Thank you for sharing your very creative and free life.
