I don't recall ever seeing this in the wild, but damn if it doesn't have some of the finest usage of parallax from this era I've seen. Also to see this amount of choice in stages AND unlockable characters in an arcade beat'em'up (from this era or any era) is goddamn amazing.

It's like if you asked an AI to design a sequel for Final Fight, then someone came in and told the AI to focus on Double Dragon 3, then someone else came in and said to focus on Muscle Bash, then someone ELSE came in and told them to focus on JoJo, and then the last person just said "USE ALL SUGGESTIONS."

Glad you mentioned Knuckle Bash (or 'Muscle Bash' but I knew what you meant). Watching this I kept being reminded of that game more than any others, including Final Fight. Definitely vibing Knuckle Bash throughout, both in style of stages and characters, but also in mechanics since you can optionally recruit bosses in both. Extremely uncommon in arcade beat-em-ups, and always nice to see!

@rowenpugner3872 knuckle bash is also a good game too. You can get ninjas and quarterbacks for your battles.

I spent most of my adolescence playing these type of coin-op, arcade games after school (instead of doing my homework). However, I never knew of this gem. 💎 Mevella looks like the best boss to fight against in a game! I particularly like how when she’s defeated, Mevella becomes a playable character.

28:18 So these bartenders rip open their shirts to expose their bare chests, jump into the air, and while in mid-air put on their white tanktops before they land. That's VERY impressive!

I would not doubt a few developers from this game worked on some of the Neo-Geo brawlers like Ninja Combat and Burning Fight which I see quite a bit of resemblance.

I played it back in the 90s , this game is damn hard , I don't know if somebody finished it with 1 coin only ,, without using cheat codes

They didn't even bother making he grabbable items match your character's hands. That's a rather fascinating oversight considering you can select branching paths and there's neat parallax scrolling in this, along with the unique ability to recruit bosses. Can't say I hate this but if the execution isn't good, it renders all the good ideas moot.
