BIG FISH 120 FISH FINDER INSTALL || HOW TO || EASY MOD

How to mount a fish finder on a big fish 120 or 110. I used the sonar pod.

I took my big fish 120 out today with a transducer mounted on the inside of the sonar pod. It worked a bit but kept showing 100'+ after a few minutes. I'll be tinkering tomorrow. I used the "duct seal method" of installing the transducer, have you heard of this? I figured it should work as the water level on mine seems to go a good 1/3 of the way up the side of the box. I also have the same finder that I'll be installing next. I had to try my dads ancient Eagle Ultra 2 before upgrading to his piranha.

Hey! Never heard of the duct tape method, what is it? So far, attached to the sonar pod, I have had no issues

@@TheFishingFather "duct seal" It's a clay like substance that electricians use. It's about $2.50 to buy a pound and it's been working great for me. Best features - Cheap, easy, not "permanent" yet stays put for years (so I've heard) and no weeds on the transducer.

What's the battery? And did you run the cable from the transducer around the front of that box and into the little hole on the front to get into the box? I'm just working on installing this into mine.

Is there any bolts or screw holding the sonar pod on when you first buy it or does it just comes off easily cause I'm pulling it like crazy and just cant get my sonar pod off from the kayak?

No sir. Grab the two handles and squeeze them inwards to the sonar pod then pull up.
