Love the videos 🤪👍🎣with regards to the clip downs I’ve used them all be it red ones, anyhow I’ve had them not releasing but I’ve found that can be because the hook is too large or tight against the mechanism or if you’re on a sandy mark you need to dip them in the water to remove any sand before casting! I would like the manufacturer to make the opening for the hook slightly larger to take bigger hooks and to prevent it from not opening on impact. Keep up the effort John . Always a good watch 👍🎣

The robins after food when I sit down by river they always come along as most fisherman feed them, I always take a small bag of bird food for them. Great videos John just love your enthusiasm.

I use the splashdowns all the time john I rarely use any other bait clip. The blue splashdown clips are the first ones they released years ago.

Love The channel. Grew up in the village close to the first Mark you went to, fish the old jetty that was behind you, right hand side. Good conger ground close in, clean-ish bottom further out.

There was a local spot that I fished regularly every summer for years, the years of no seals present the fish were few and far between, when they were abundant on the rocks the fishing was excellent even to the extent they would chase the mackerel and pollack you were reeling in.

If your going to use frozen baits anyway, then have you never pre made. I had hook lengths which I pre wrapped, then separated in greaseproof paper and froze. They stay solid as you cast, but melt in only 3 mins ish, keeping all the bait tight. Put in freezer box and lasts over 24 hours. Take out in layers and if not used them all, you can pop back in the freezer. Nice huss, plus that Robin was friendly lol

When you’re at a new mark why not test cast to see what the ground is like or even better use a rotten bottom so that your not losing gear 🤯
