great video again,and I have a question can a large stick bait or regular hard plastic lure 7 to 8 inches in length be good for fishing for tarpon,if not let me know what is a good lure for fishing for tarpon, i am also a beginner and i have never caught a saltwater fish before so i wil love some tips{local}

Hard body lures are effective with Tarpon bites. The issue is with Tarpon in particular, they have an extremely hard mouth, therefore hook penetration is less effective then let’s say a species like a Jack. The weight and design of a hard body lure then works against the effectiveness of the hook up ratio, resulting in Tarpon throwing hooks very often. Soft plastics tend to be more effective at the hook up due to it only having one hook as well as the hook placement. Now to make things even more confusing for you sometimes Tarpon just prefer the stickbait over the soft plastic. Especially if it’s Topwater and they’re feeding on mullet 😂 so the question is do you go for more bites or better hook up!? And that’s where just trying different things come into play. It all depends but to answer your question in short, both lures can be effective… it just depends. Hope this helps, good luck and thanks for the support.

Weed conditions have cleared even though they're out of season right now it's madness with the black liners. I don't disturb them in the breeding season, our summers have them closed for 3 months. New local subscriber and excited angler here. Brettski I've a question. I've been fishing with cut bait/live bait/shrimp for the last 12 years and the biggest fish I've caught is a 6lb catfish :/ Never used lures before. So between live bait, cut bait, shrimp etc and lures, would you reccomend lures over all the others? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for subscribing! I appreciate the support. All forms of fishing certainly have there time and place. Lure fishing has a little more of a learning curve as opposed to using bait live or dead. There are scenarios where lures can be more effective and vice versa. If you’ve never tried it then I recommend at least giving it a go. That way you can start getting a feel for what it’s like and build momentum from there. Best of luck. Cheers 🙏
