In the UK we catch Carp for sport, kind of sad to see you guys using them for bait :(

Carp are a large part of Alligator Gar’s diet in the south, so they naturally are targeted by them. Like I said in the video I release the big ones but keep the smaller ones if I need bait

But I know how you feel, people kill huge gar all the time here and they’re my favorite fish so i know it hurts that’s why I release the big carp
