This was competition for Miss Guo Qin who was a 17 years old high school student at the time in 2017. She won this semi-final stage and got the only one slot entering the final stage from her group. Zhou Shen was one of the invited celebrity singers to assist each individual contestant in the group. They did an amazing duet performance together which put Zhou Shen firmly on the map.

To tell you a bit of his background. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now. He has studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to studied Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is very good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least over 12 different languages. He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. "Big Fish" is Zhou Shen's master piece. This song was very well known for this animation but not him until he appeared in this show. The public then realized that this was sung by him. Even one of the mentor Mr Eason who sang another song for the same movie didn't know as well until he saw Zhou Shen sang. His clean, crystal clear and sincere voice is truly amazing. This song is actually singing about a mother's love, the hardship of bringing up her child and pain of seeing the child leaves the nest, that's why it's even more painful if the child didn't grow and leave, as she knew the child is destined for greatness

She is the finalist and eventual winner of that season of the Voice in China. Zhou Shen was the guest singer who sang the original Big Fish theme song of a movie where Zhou Shen was also the lead character, a breakout moment i his acting career as well. Zhou Shen was originally enrolled as a medical school student destined to be a doctor but lost his interest midway through the course, decided to try his hands on his other interest, music and singing. So he has some training in the opera kind of music. The rest is history…a little background that I know of. Surely much more to him that I don’t know of…cheers! Ps. I am not from China so this is purely info from a foreigner’s perspectives.

The lady sits there and sing because she was injured on her ankle by accident during her rehearsal :) Actually, Zhoushen is so gentle to raise the key of this song, giving consideration to his singing partner, because the original key's low pitch is really difficult for ladies to touch.
