I like the convenience to town with your new location. Plus there appears to be several areas whereas one can be tucked away affording a bit of privacy or personal space with some desert shrubs

I think they're open year round. I don't remember seeing any gates!

Some friends and I are planning on taking this trail soon. I only have a 2WD truck. We are also taking other vehicles that are 4x4. Do you think it would make it? I can’t find anyone else to ask about how rugged the trails are. Thanks in advance!

Sometimes Forest Rangers can be cool, but other times they can be really frustrating/annoying. It's almost like they don't personally want you out on the trails, but they have to let you because you're not breaking any laws. Where could I find GPS maps for these trails?

I think we were just in their way. Apparently they were looking for someone who had been hunting bears, and we were blocking the trail! I upload all of my tracks and waypoints to Patreon. It’s possible you can find the trail on Google, but I was just following along, so don’t know for sure! I know we referred to it as the Big Frog Loop. Someone else may be able to chime in.
