Mt. Kenya does not necessarily want the presidency or deputy presidency. The region has learned, through leaders like Governor Kang’ata, that with the right leadership at the grassroots level, there’s no pressing need for their own presidency. Deputy President Gachagua has been emphasizing this point, urging people to focus on electing quality leaders. Moving forward, Mt. Kenya will support other tribes in the quest for the presidency and deputy presidency.
