The Mob was a force, they had us thinking. Whenever this happens, the powers that be with break it up. No one can ever take that away. Cell therapy was a eye opener. Soul food told you about fast food. Dance no more, how we got lazy in our dancing. And the main part, always acknowledging the creator. Goodie Mob has it place in history. Even if they didn’t make the big bag.

I understand the bitterness that the south had toward NYC but we rocked with certain people from the south. We rocked with OutKast, GMOB, Ghetto Boyz! Believe it or not every party back in the late 90’s and early 20’s played a south set. They’d play Luke, and that bounce ATL!

Big Gipp, respect, love and prosperity to you sir. Thanks for your contributions but I want to see you do a OG album about life at your level from your perspective to modern beats. I know that would break barriers and shift the game on another level. Hiphop is a young man’s sport because young men stop being creative after they become grown men. As if the world don’t need to hear you articulate from a mature perspective.

Y'all have no clue how big of a hit Get Rich to This was. That shit was banging in the middle of nowhere bumfuck country in the damn woods bro I kid you not. They started my love for rap bro and I'm thankful for that. Them, ma$e, and Hot Boy$ had me rapping at the age of 4 no Cap. My parents would make me sing Get Rich to this to their friends because I knew all tha words and nobody else did 😂 I knew at a young age that I loved hip hop and Goodie Mob played a big part of it with that song. I come from literally the smallest town in Virginia. It's actually a village. If Goodie Mob was bumping there where it's still dominated by country music fans, I can imagine that that banger was everywhere. Everybody had a system back then too or you was a nobody so that song I would recommend you listen to it wit a system. That joint bangs to this mf day. I'm thankful that my parents listened to rap. I actually benefitted from them having me as teenagers because of the dope ass music that was banging beside my head from woofers while I was in the back wit no seat belt no car chair lmfao

Idk I still to this day have those first 3 albums and truth is the 3rd one was garbage compared to the first two, Soul Food was just a classic album that actually spoke to my soul @ that time, that album was waaay ahead of it's time and as a 20 year old black man @ that time it just hit all that I was feeling living and dealing with. For me it's sad to hear there fall off was because they felt they had to go a different way or be something else other then the group that did the Soul Food album. OutKast became OutKast and made it big because the stayed true to who they were in the beginning music wise....Soul Food was something we never had in the south but what we needed and Loved. The West and The South always musically aligned you were never going to get the respect of New York
