I'm thinking about heading over from South Australia on about the 24th of this month for 3 or 4 weeks. Do you think it is still worth spending the money for a surf trip this time of year or wait until November December or jan feb next year. Really want to get those right points pumping!

Mate I like your videos. As a permanently stuck in intermediate level surfer it's great to see a POV shot of riding a wave nicely. It's good to see the shape of the wave ahead of you and where you decide to cut back. One interesting thing seems to be that you're riding essentially that line of water between the clean unbroken water and the foam.
@IUsePCP2 жыл бұрын
yeah its a shame. Some of us just dont have the talent and thats ok. From a hardstuck intermediate surfer to another.

Great observation. This is where you can get most engagement and hold in the board and also where the power is!

@@KalesBroccoli mate just as soon as I get my camper van fixed up I'm heading down there. How long do you plan to stay?
@ragasanov2 жыл бұрын
This place where surfers ride is called a pocket. It's between the peak and the shoulder of the wave.
@surfreadjumpsleep2 жыл бұрын
@@ragasanov I know what it's called but unfortunately that hasn't helped me get in there with any sort of grace. Anybody out there a surfer and a hockey player? I used to play hockey and I thought maybe the way that you stop on the ice could be similar to how you cut back on the board.

Thanks for the great video, Kale! I follow you since I started surfing a couple of years ago and really enjoy every video. I'll move from Australia back to Europe in a year or so and have planned to do surf trips to Morocco as well. Just wondering if you have any recommendations on nice locations to find good surf there or any other tips you might be able to share? Thanks, mate

I’m from the Canary Islands, it’s of the cost of Morocco. I just started to wear my 2mm wetsuit here in December on colder days, but on warmer days not. I doesn’t get colder than 18 degrees Celsius. I have to mention that I’m from Denmark and anything above freezing is tropical to me. So a 3/2mm will keep your warm, the air temperature in Morocco can get quite cold in January and February, especially in the northern parts.

I was there a couple of years ago, through November and December, I surfed the Thagazout area and did so with a 2/3 spring suit. Sometimes (a lot, haha) I wished I had something warmer, but it was ok...
