Big Hail Storm in Wichita, KS 9/15/2010

On Wednesday, 9/15/2010, my house was hit by a massive hail storm. We were being hit by hail that was around baseball and softball size! I have never seen hail that big before. Less than one mile from me someone found a 7" wide hail stone. I ended up with about 8 holes punched all the way through my roof on my 3 year old house. If you have a good sound system with a sub, turn it up. You can hear the large hail stones pounding my roof.

My brother lives there and I remember the pics of the grapefruit sized holes in his roof. That was a massive hail storm!

That storm must have had an insanely strong updraft to produce those hailstones.

OMG, that's craziness!!! The sizes were unbelievable and the damage very disheartening! And then OMG your neighbor comes out in it! Very dangerous! Very scary! Don't send any my way, please! lol

If something like that occured at my house, I would hide in the closet underneeth my stair case. That way, I would have protection in case the hail got through the roof.
