With Ham Study, this year 2024, I passed my Technician in June scored 100%, General in August scored 100%. Being 80 years old, Extra is giving me brain cramps.

If you want to be humbled: when you're studying for technician, accidentally take a practice test for extra.

After I passed the Extra last year, for fun I took the technician test (which I last looked at was 20 years ago) on ham study. I failed!

I passed the Tech test with a good score; but I missed the General by one question... will need to hit the books!

I was an idiot and studied for, (and passed,) the threepeat last year. I strongly don't recommend that. I've been very lucky to be adopted by an amazing group of elmers, but no matter what your ticket, when you're a newbie, you're a newbie. So be a newbie. There is soooo much to learn after the test. There's no reason to rush. Take what you're ready for. The extra is a lot. It's drinking from a fire hose. I've had fun since, but if I'd have it to do over, I'd have taken the tech and then general a couple months later, then spent a year prepping for the extra separately. 73, y'all.

I think Ham Study is a great tool. I passed my Technician in May and General in early August 2024. I will be using the ARRl books for reference in the future. I can't remember everything I learned.

I used Ham Radio Prep, the book, and your Videos and other videos on KZbin. I brute forced it too just to be sure as I took the Tech and General on the the same day.

Wow. So often watching vendors talking about updates to whatever I’m just thinking “okay…I guess, but that’s not nearly as exciting as you think”. However, holy crap these guys are actually in tune with who their users are and how they use the product. This whole thing is just a litany of things real people are going to actually want to use. They very clearly actually pulled this stuff from real-world feedback, not just whatever seemed shiny. Well done, guys. At first I looked at the length on this video and was like “an HOUR just for some update, what the hell Josh? How big can it be?” but I had time to kill and clicked anyway. I was wrong - totally justified. :)
