Yessss! I'm so glad to hear Shin Jimin is coming back after such a difficult time! She deserves success after being torn down publicly for something she didn't do. I will definitely support! Congrats girl! It's so bizarre to me & is so wrong how every little dumb thing idols, or trainees do - even as literal children - ruins their entire careers, no matter how many years they spent preparing for it. There are American artists who are, or have been, some of the most popular in the world & have been strippers, convicted felons, done a bunch of dicey stuff, & even at least 2 that come to mind who were convicted of some sort of murder, yet continued a thriving career following it. I know the customs & cultures are very different, but if they keep getting more & more strict about what is not acceptable, they are going to end up with no idols whatsoever. We all make mistakes, every single one of us. Especially when we are children. So they need to relax a bit & leave a little more room for error & realize that a little controversy can genuinely help a group sometimes & doesn't have to destroy someone's entire life, future, & career. The more they make it normalized to a certain degree, the more it will stop having such a huge effect on groups popularity levels. It's not that they should allow awful people who have done heinous things or committed major crimes to be idols, but it has gotten to a point where there is literally no mistake you can make that won't hang over your head as an idol. If it is small, something someone did as a child, or there has been a long time of innocence since the misdeed & evidence to back up that the idol has changed, then why must we continue to punish people who don't deserve to lose everything after giving up their whole childhood to make their dreams come true?

The problem is that any group(boy or girl) is considered an idol in Korea. I think there should be groups that don't have the "idol" designation and just be a normal boy or girl group. You have that in Japan, where you can have groups that are idols or non-idols.

Also like, Jimin was no where near the abusive figure everyone made her out to be. I can’t remember the name of the AOA girl who accused her - Mina, I think - but her story has been picked apart and noticed for how inconsistent it is. She also continued to post about the supposed abuse long after Jimin had faced consequences and apologised for her actions. Eventually, she went as far as to post uncensored self-harm and tried connecting it to Jimin again when it was recent and not from years ago. People started to pick up that not only was she not telling the story correctly, but that she was likely altering it in her favor. But yes, I agree. I find it hard to care when idols are accused of like, idk, swearing an elder pupil when they were 14 or started rumours at school. Like most 14 year olds. There’s rly no need to kick their 25 year old self out their career because of it.

What happened with Trainee A is so sad. While Leo's lyrics were pretty horrible, they virtually screamed "I just copied the message I found in Korean underground hip hop & Western Mainstream rap" and not "This is my opinion and what I think of women". It was a stupid and unnecessary mistake (especially on BigHit's side for letting this air), that'll now cost all K-Pop fans the most promising Boy Group debut in years.

Leo as someone that knows English should have realised what he did before writing those lyrics. U can’t blame big hit for this just cause we actually saw what Leo did. He did it and big hit were trying to give there artists creative freedom yet Leo wrote lyrics like that. In my opinion jype not revealing why they terminated the contract is a kindness, they're not trying to hurt the future career of jinni, they're being vague as opposed to pointing fingers like BBC (boo!) did to chu. There are 2 possibilities for trainee a 1 the reason why bighit has decided to stop promoting all of there social media accounts is probably that they are debuting or 2 they are going to have a completely different line up change for trainee a cuss that can happen with trainees so it’s likely that trainee A will have a completely different line up if 2 members have already left the group before debuting it’s a possibility that bighit it going to re brand the group completely. And not gonna lie I think bighit really wanted to debut Leo in the group cuss they probably saw so much potential in him and possibly wanted him to be the leader of the group before the hole scandal happen

Lol!! Well of course the idols that left JYPE are going to have good solo careers! That is EXACTLY because, and why, JYPE doesn't release the reason they left. So that they can "thrive outside the company" without their past grievances following the around and so what if the company won't tell us. It's apparently not our business. And if it was something bad, well then it was something bad. But why is the company under fire for that? Obviously, if they ripped everything of hers down there was a reason. As for why their "Seasons Greetings" didn't get taken down, I think it was already being sold. They may have had too much commitment for the product already. Or, perhaps they removed everything else for a good reason, but that same reason wasn't present with that product, so they didn't have to remove it. No doubt there are legalities for when a contract is terminated. This includes anything that is currently promoting her as being in the group and can be removed from doing so. And anything that has been put on sale or is considered as previous works that are no longer in a tice promotion not needing to be removed. I'm sure there are answers for all the questions, but I'm sure it's not our place to demand them. If she herself isn't talking about it, it's pretty easy to imagine that perhaps she is the one that doesn't want to talk about it. And we should either respect that if you were a fan. or move on if you weren't because why do you care. People really need to learn some boundary issues and perhaps even some basic legal practices of such situations if they are going to hypothesize about it. As for the idols that have controversies that they are not removed from the company for. There are in fact cases at JYPE of some idols that have had bullying scandals proven to be FALSE and therefore it didn't happen. You don't get to ruin someone's life because another person was jealous of their position in life and felt like talking them down. That shit needs to stop before people who were really mistreated end up not being believed. Get you 15 minutes elsewhere. As for drink driving, if they are of legal age, it's really not something that is breaking the rules as much as it is breaking the law. Pay your dues and make right, I can understand why the company would keep you on. But whoever thought that she was removed for privacy issues is Ludacris. She would have been removed for badly breaking rules or she chose to leave. Those are the only two believable reasons that would result in what we have seen happen. Which they most definitely would. You don't have to like it, but if you ask me, I think it's pretty awesome that JYPE is taking heat to try and keep her business private. You are literally crazy however, if you think it's the companies fault that the fans are making up rumors and blaming her for things she may not have had anything to do with. That is OUR FAULT, stop doing stupid inflammatory things to force the hand of another, and expecting them to clean it up or tell you what you want to know. You don't get to blackmail them for answers without yourself getting sued for trying to damage the company. As for her, what part of "she no longer holds a contract with the company" did y'all miss. Lol just like Woojin, shez now on her own. The company nor her group can help her now. If the things they are saying are damaging her she better find a company who will defend her, and fast. They signed up with the company with an understanding of what would happen if they left and chose the "we will not tell" path. I hope viewers see my comment. Deleting KZbin channel and all social media accounts with so many followers doesn't make sense. Why would they waste these numbers? Why do people think that deleting the KZbin channel and social media accounts means debut when BTS has all predebut content subbed and available on their predebut and now official channel? Big Hit's new boygroup isn't mentioned anymore in Hybe's 2023 business plan. What's more, in the official statement Big Hit didn't say "Please look forward to Trainee A's debut" - companies always do that. Another example - Sixteen (TWICE's predebut Twitter turned into TWICE's account, they didn't delete it). Trainee A has a big following on international side but on Korean side they are only recognized via Leo's controversy. Maybe after what happened with Garam, they don't want to invest in a group that already has bad press.

It's possible. Kpop companies can have as many trainees as they want. If they see that a group is not fit for the market, they either disband, change concept, remove or add new members or ask idols to have a personality different from the one the company choose for them in the first place. Since people will keep on auditioning and netizens will start liking different things over the time, they can just decide that you need more training or than you are no more fit for debut.
