My baby loves to watch these gigantic tractors so do I. I like watching them when we go walk to the field where we hunt during deer season in MD.

farming is so underrated. Didn't know about the "row sensor" to auto guide it down the row, just assumed they were really good at driving straight with all the bumps. Pretty sweet.

Thank you for watching. Many farmers are good at running back and forth but the guidance system makes long days the field easier.

Lots of helpful info. Love the stuff on the flashing lights indicating the bin is near full. Very instructive. Great quality video considering the dusty environment. Thanks so much for posting. Really enjoyed this one. Grow cotton myself in Arkansas although I lease my land and don't own any of my own equipment. Always enjoy seeing crops of every kind being harvested and you explained this very well. Where in Kentucky is this? Didn't expect to see such a big operation. Would have expected an operation like this in Iowa, Illinois or Nebraska. How big a field are we talking here? Thanks again for posting.

Western Kentucky seems to have some good producing land. Around what city or town are these fields located? It's interesting to be in an area where the climate lends itself to double cropping winter wheat and soybeans as indicated in other videos in Western Kentucky. That's exciting to me...I'm farther north in South Dakota so no double cropping here!

Just a quick question: Is the soil so soft that a triple wheel setup is required? The tractor after all isn't plowing or similar, just pulling along the trailer. Was assuming the triple setup otherwise would case quite a lot of strain on the axles....

+Vi De Triple Tires are a popular option for most large 4wds here in WKY. In heavy tillage they have good traction and reduce compaction.

I can't believe that i just sat through 20 minutes of this and not once did you show a close up of Big Johnny tearing that grass up, Other than that the corn seemed well ripe and within harvesting age - Storyline was believable and had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next dirty little patch to get punished by Big John. 9/10 Cornography well done; Hope to see this on the big stage right up there with Klucking kernals 4 and Punish popcorn.

until u have done a summer and fall Harvey that starts in the south and ends in the north, summer dry wheat and wet corn in the fall, you will never understand. A state to state harvest is awesome. I'm 44 and still dream of it and have been a mechanic sense 91 and would do it again. 4 summers and driving every weekend from Watonga Ok to Sublet KS ever Friday after school and driving home at midnight to make it to school nasty was well worth the memory's.u get a chance do it

In Texas we like to have all the stalks standing to catch snow so we use a walking beam 1100 bu cart. Seems like this 4,000bu/hr. has a lot of stopping time as it take one machine just over 15 minutes to fill cart and also fill the truck and back to the combine. Why not use a MFD tractor with 2/3 the compaction and also more nimble. Guess no hills here makes for uniform fields. Why have two $500,000 combines waiting almost 1/2 the time because of just one cart.

Depending on the crop and humidity. I looked up Wikipedia. It says 1 bushel of corn = 25,401 kg. Also 1 bushel = 36,3687 litres (bushel is a Volume measure unit not exactly weight unit) Am I right? Sorry im from Europe so i just googled it up i dont know if everything is correct.

When you say powered are you looking at the grain harvested or the dust from the harvest? This is feed corn used to make chicken and cattle feed as well as ethanol gasoline. The combine picks the ears of corn and separates the grain. The grain is sold and the rest of the plant left in the field to build up organic material in the soil. The crop is rather dusty at harvest.

Sure you have a large enough tractor on the grain cart?
@bigtractorpower6 жыл бұрын
It has good view from the cab, good flotation to reduce compaction and plenty of power to move quick when the cart is full. It is also the smallest tractor available for the job on the farm.
@jeffpaggett72746 жыл бұрын
Thanks - I grew up on a comparably small farm in Saskatchewan (I'm 48 now) and see that the tractor we used to cultivate, seed, harrow with - wouldn't be strong enough to run most augers now. I love to watch - thank you for your time.
