I don't know what bookstores are in your area, but my Barnes & Noble has an animal rescue organization come in a few times a year that brings a bunch of animals ready for adoption with them. Maybe something similar will be in your area soon!

I am that person that gets really bored when booktubers don't know the synopsis and they start reading it out loud. like I always zone out when they do that😂😂 and I honestly don't care if somebody explains what a book is about and like it's soo hard to explain a plot of a book. I feel like I can relate to you so much! We share basically identical tastes in book genres (Also, "The Book Thief" and "The Fault in Our Stars" are two of my all time favorite books), and I love getting new ideas for books to read, especially because I have been in a slump recently. I was just about to buy the Fearless Writing book you mentioned! I am majoring in English Lit. and I had a complete mental breakdown and so I am taking a year off to get myself back in working order and so I am going to pick this up for some encouragement! Like you, and like most writers if I am to be honest, we go through phases where we lose complete faith and hope in our writing, and so I am trying to pick up some books to make myself think about how to become a better reader and writer. Hey Hailey, I don't know if you've read it already, but another book about a character traveling through Europe is Finding It by Cora Carmack. It technically does categorize as new adult though, and it's a companion novel to Losing It and Faking It, but you could read it without reading the first two books. I don't know if it's for you, but I, myself loved it. Thought maybe you could check it out. p.s. I love your videos

Vebarella Romeo & Juliet is always the best place to start. It's romantic, easy to follow along, and full of family drama. After that, I recommend Julius Caesar. Ugh.. that's my favorite play by Shakespeare. It's suspenseful, creepy at times, and utterly amazing. Then A Midsummer Night's Dream is also quite good. It's one of those "everyone loves everyone" love triangle books. It's a comedy and pretty great at times. If you do read Shakespeare, I HIGHLY recommend reading the No Fear version of his writings. It has the Shakespearean language on one page and then a modern day translation on the other page. It's very useful because Shakespearean language isn't the easiest to understand.. haha. Hope that was helpful!
