Shadow Queen was my favorite book last year! It is a quick read and there is a HUGE twist in the novel that just made it 100x more interesting while still having the essence of the original tale.

As a Barnes and Noble bookseller here in the States, I feel ya on that discount life! My first Christmas at Barnes, I spent over half my paycheck on books. It's a blessing and a curse ;)

I also hauled Geekerella, Daughter of the Pirate King, and Strange the Dreamer in my March book haul! Out of all of them Geekerella was my favorite because who doesn't love a good cinderella retelling with a ton of fun, geeky references :)

I've read all the Anne of Green Gables books, albeit a few years ago so I can't perfectly remember all of them and whilst the first is the best because seeing Anne young a mischievous is so entertaining, the others are all enjoyable and I would recommend them

Hey, with as many books as you can actually get through, I think it's totally reasonable. I am such a slow reader - I only read a maximum of 5 books a month and that's if I'm doing really well. But I have bought so many books in March it's crazy and I have so many books that I haven't picked up yet, some that I've owned for years.
