@BarryTickles nope. Play in the park. No kid needs the pressure of that scenario. Now, his parents think they have a big leaguer, and most modern parents turn into pushy azzholes in that situation. And no 11 year old should be famous. We have a lot of proof of that not being good for the kid in the long run.

What has this kid hitting so far? I mean he is a chubby 11 year old, does he have unusual strength? Is the kid hitting the weight room? I am 6'2" 250 pounds and I am an overweight 250, not a muscle bounded monster 250. I doubt that I am hitting the ball out of a big league park. I am curious where all the power comes from? Is it technique, is it size, is it bat speed? I'd be surprised if I could hit it out of a pony league feild 250 down the line and 292 to center, let alone a high school, college, or big league field.
@metaphoria32 ай бұрын
First off the kid is 11 and barely hitting it outta the infield and I’m 5’11 170 and regularly hit hrs 450’ .. it’s god given is the best i can tell ya prob a lil more ⚡️ and tendon strength hand /wrist sz/ strength etc
@a88pockets2 ай бұрын
@@metaphoria3 I guess i didnt pay that much attention how far he was hitting the ball, i figured if there is a youtube video and they are at a big league field the kid must be doing something special. I figure there has to be some simple physics involved, swing heavy bat fast and square the ball on the bat and it goes far. Plus technique being able to get back spin on the ball for better loft. I guess I should go to the batting cage or pony field and see what i can do.
@MikeHart72Ай бұрын
For his age they are decent hits but certainly not spectacular. I don’t want to sound like I’m trashing the kid but he does have some extra beef on him to put behind the ball…..his mechanics could use some adjustment. My guess is that when he hits the ball square it can go a long way but this doesn’t happen as often as it could because of his mechanics, or lack thereof. When I was 15 I was about 5’9 approximately 160 pounds. The left field line was 285 and centre was 325, I could clear both fences. A lot of it is proper mechanics. A good coach can teach this. I was also clocked at almost 85/mph on the radar gun pitching, mechanics play a major role in this as well. I don’t know if professional coaches could have improved me more and maybe I went somewhere but it’s too bad 40 years ago scouts didn’t come to my little town in Canada
