I went to a giants v marlins game in Miami. I was one of the first in the stadium and I saw him warming up and yelled “big time Timmy Jim,” he laughed and threw me a ball. I caught it whilst FaceTiming my mom. I still have said ball.

I'm preparing a long, 30-60 + minute long deep dive documentary on Tim Lincecum. Your video did a good job summarizing the better aspects of his career, but the truth behind his downfall is not a short and simple one; it's one that was a perfect storm of heartbreak, luck, circumstance, and even death. I've been a Giants fan since I moved to California, and Timmy was my all time favorite player, and always will be. To say he was nothing short of electric was an understatement, because when he played baseball, it was spectacular. No idea my doc on him will be out, but it's going to be VERY in depth and show the full picture on what really did happen to him

Tim Lincecum played in the era right before social media really blew up. Honestly I miss those days I wish we could go back, however there are so many great players that were affected by that era who people have seemingly forgot this guy was extremely dominant two Cy Youngs and three championships this guy is Hall of Fame without a doubt. It shouldn't even be a question about it. Like I said if this guy was around the social media KZbin era of today he would have so much glaze on him it would be ridiculous he was that good for his time.

Growing up I always tried to mimic his pitching mechanics lol wish he stayed healthy.
@zephyrirons46587 сағат бұрын
he was healthy, if I remember correctly he developed degenerative hip disorder which is essentially a one and done deal in terms of not being able to pitch again

Did the same while going through a growth spurt. Spine still has a curve in it, hips f'd. Thanks Timmy!

@@zephyrirons4658eh... I say mechanics. I fucked up my hips the same way copying him in high school while I was growing.

Tim Lincecum was absolutely mind blowing to watch back in the day. He was Hall of Fame material. Just sad that the guy got hurt, but, anyone whoever saw the guy pitch in his prime will never forget Tim Lincecum.

I still say he belongs in the Hall of Fame! If not for his pitching, then for being the coolest guy in baseball.

To think his first championship win may have been an early sign since his ERA went up. It wasn't bad but compare to his 2009 season, it was a significant jump. He did rebounded in 2011 though his team gave him little to no run support, but then after that...
@jamesstinedurf9841Сағат бұрын
he shined so bright for such a short period of time. this is one of those players that people knew was special. he is what legends are made of. to heck with his career stats, anyone with half a brain cell knows he should be in the Hall

I’m born and raised in San Francisco and I grew up during those 2010-2014 World Series runs. Got to attend some games at the free gate at AT&T Park. Good times

Growing up in Washington with Felix Hernandez pitching every fifth day, Lincecum is still my favorite pitcher in baseball over The King in a close second. He was so electric in his prime with a funky delivery and the ability to overpower anyone.

It's kind of heartbreaking, but he achieved a lot. He had a run that many would never see.

Now just imagine if they had the same pitch count then as they do now………2 Cy youngs & 3 championships……..eventually you would hope…..he gets a nod

Timmy hit on my girlfriend of the time at a party during his hey day which I consider an honor (mostly cuz she rejected him). We got to hang out with him a couple of times and he was super chill. Those Cy Young and World Series years were golden. You can see us in the Philly portion of this video!

LET TIMMY SMOKE! as soon as Tim got drilled by the linedrive on the mound around 2014-15 ish u can tell his machanics went out the window... he stopped planting that front foot and follow throughing with his pitches... that's what I noticed. I'm not sure of the year when he got hit but it definitely messed with his psychy.

He has been through a lot. He reached the height of his profession only to lose the ability to do what he did best through no fault of his own. Now losing his wife.
