@@rasmus274 , I'm not sure which expression you didn't understand, so I will try to quickly explain both - and apologize if you understand one of these already. In English (well, American English at least), there are lots of "paper bag" expressions that are about a person's ability to do something. The Chef means that his sister is not very good at cooking at all. The second expression (burning wet cereal or burning boiling water) is just another way to say his sister isn't good at cooking
