All sounds healthy to me! Reminds me of the story of the Mexican Fisherman: An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them. The Mexican replied, “only a little while. The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish? The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs. The American then asked, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?” "The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.” The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing, and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.” The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?” To which the American replied, “15 - 20 years.” “But what then?” Asked the Mexican. The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions!” “Millions - then what?” The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”

You've nailed it. Life is way shorter than we want it to be. 2022 has been a life changing year for me too...found out I've got advanced prostate cancer, so going through chemo and hormone therapy. Enjoy life in the present and do what makes you happy. Cheers 🍻

Just a heads up, I watch your videos and others like it because I just enjoy them. If it was only a video of your flights I’d still be perfectly happy watching. Of course I’m not alone when it comes to the amazement of flying paramotors, or just flying in general and being able to live vicariously through videos is great. (Because I’m too much of a p#say to ever do it myself) Even simple fly and hit record videos are great. Thanks for your content, I and others appreciate it.

I'm jealous to what you have going on, I'm still caught in this rat race of life and I just want to fly all the time. You are right, there really isn't much content you haven't covered but I can speak for myself and probably many others in that I go back and re-watch your instructional videos, some of them many times as I always find something to learn..... thank you for that! Cancer is definitely devastating Kyle. Im recovering between kemo therapy treatments for Ewings Sarcoma. The treatment is worse is Much Worse then the leg pains that brought me into the hospital for diagnosis. Happy Flying America

Same thing has been happening here, but I was chalking it up to my laziness, lol. My tolerance for stress has fallen considerably the past couple years. I've dialed things way, way back. I haven't made a repair video in at least a year. Already posted all my archived stuff. Don't much feel like filming another - takes a TON of time, then the editing takes even MORE time, then nobody watches it, LOL! I do need some cash to finish my truck build, though - that's the conundrum. Went all-in on the engine - supercharger, cam, triple-disk converter, plus tons of other parts, only to find out I really need to rebuild the lower end! Big hit I hadn't planned on. So I've got 5-figures worth of parts sitting in a room waiting. The things I get myself into! Probably won't be starting that until next year. I HAVE to film that one - that should be interesting to people. I've gotta do some flying though! I haven't been up since August. I flew almost every day in August, then went right into work mode again and haven't come out of it yet. Got a few problem-child vehicles that are making me insane and taking all my time. And you ain't kiddin' about social media!! WOW I used to be A LOT more productive before the smart phone! LOL. 😂

I can relate to the change in your life thing. I think it happens as you get older and start to realize what's important and what's a waste of your time. I've got more sunrises behind be than I do in front of me so I'm trying to do what makes me feel good about myself and do things I want to do before I can't anymore. Like buying 91 acers and moving out of the house that I lived and raise my family in for over 26 years..lol. Hoping to get back into flying now that I've got just a little bit of space to take off and land... I need all I can get. 😁 I've put it to the side for far too long. Take care man.

I hear that, I experienced paragliding for the 1st time 13 years ago when my family went to Colorado for vacation. My son was about 1 year old and I had a tandem flight with an instructor in Glenwood springs CO. We flew over the mountain and across the Colorado River and landed in a HS football field. The experience changed my life and I knew this is what I wanted to do... 13 years later a coworker called to tell me about a paramotor for sale 1 town over from where I live in MI. I bought the PPG it had never been assembled or flown. I sold my boat snowmobiles and other toys to purchase my trike and the rest of the equipment I needed to fly. This past August I finally got the chance to spend a week training and I've been flying every chance I get since! The best things in life are worth waiting for! It's never too late to live your dreams! It sounds like you're finally getting your opportunity, thanks for sharing and congratulations! PPG is an incredible sport that you can do for the rest of your life. The people I've met in this sport are diverse but all have a passion for aviation. Making new friends has been just as gratifying as flying it self! PPG is a lifestyle... I would encourage anyone who is interested to go talk to your local instructor and check it out.

Kyle, go easy on yourself. I was wondering where you were hiding to tell the truth. You are going through a flame out! A Burnout! I was a good salesman for 30 years. Made lotsa' money. Then I was conned into management and after 3 years of trying to train salesmen I gave up on selling, and especially training. In short my battery drained out. Your doing the right thing. Set your priorities and eliminate anything that you don’t love doing. Good luck!

"Social Media Time Suck" Yeah, they thrive on "Engagement". Their entire business model is based on keeping you busy on their website or app, keeping you interested, enthralled, amused, ... On you next foray there, watch how even little things are done to increase the time you spend: video plays? Meh, and keep scrolling. What does the video do? Pop up in the corner, forcing you to leave your intended scrolling to stop and close that window. They have very well trained and experienced employees who are very good at what they do and I have no magic fix either. Ignoring it completely means missing out on a lot, but constantly checking isn't the right way either. Hard to budget for one hot dog when the appetizer, salad, main course steak, 2 sides and a fantastic desert don't cost anything more except not stopping.

Disagree. I watch your channel and a few others as educational programming. My rules for TV or media watching, for myself and my kids, the program has to be substantial, educational, classic and have some constructive value other than just entertainment, even if it's just artistic value. Lets be honest...editing videos is repetitive, time consuming and becomes a chore. I can't imagine how much time you've put into video editing. I would have burnt out on it quick. Not to mention, I never cared to do much talking when I fly.
