You should check out full metal alchemist. It's about these two brothers whose mother passes away and they attempt to bring her back from the dead, but things go horribly wrong and the oldest loses his arm and a leg and the younger has his soul bound to a large suit of armor. I watched maybe 10 or so episodes of the anime and it can be really sweet or absolutely heartbreaking and will give an emotional gut punch when things start to pick up. It is available in omnibus format with three volumes in one, but it is a longer series with maybe 30 single volumes or so.

To manga reviews, YES!!! I would love to see your thoughts on the Overhaul Arc (volumes 14-18 of MHA). If you need recommendations: Hunter x Hunter, and Tokyo Ghoul. Those are two excellent manga series, and one excellent anime series (don't watch TG). And, yes One Punch Man is a comedy. It certainly is worth the read.

actually, no. I've read and watched TG, and while the anime isn't the best adaptation of the manga, it's still just as good on its own. You can enjoy both without being criticised for it. Of course, the manga is infinitely better, as is in most cases, but there are some areas where the anime is actually better than the manga, e.g. the animation where Kaneki accepts Rize is x10 better written then the manga part. Even when Kaneki's hair turns white, the anime shows it better. But that's just my opinion.

Joe Jeffs the problem withthe anime is that the whole second season is filler and season one doesnt cover kanou arc and the order of arcs is flipped which makes it confusing for ppl going into re missing tons of info

I love One Piece!! I started out with One piece anime and i loved it very much!! I think u will like it too..i kno its a long series but i think its anime is the best approach to start it out. Plz give it a try bcz its worth it!! Its full of strong fun characters with great plot lines and the story just gets better and better as the series goes on. Believe me its been going on for 20 yrs and people are still crazy abt it bcz the storyline is so great and the world is vast and full of mythological creatures and legends. Its kinda underrated bcz no one in the book community has read it or talked abt it. I believe everyone should kno abt it bcz its worth it. U will not regrett ur decision if pick it up!!!

@@catsdothemeow4018 the only problem with the anime is that after the time skip toei animation bought one piece off funimation and now it's moving at an incredibly slow pace. For the majority of it it's wonderful and you can always switch to reading the manga if you cam't stand the pace of the anime. That's what I did and it worked out pretty well

Blue Exorcist is one of my all time favourite series and I’m so glad you’re picking it up, warning though, if you’re going to watch the anime only watch the first 15 episodes of the first season and then go straight to the second/sequel series ‘the Kyoto saga’ . Since you have vol. 5 it will take you into the impure king arc where the series really comes into its own. Black Clover is a little controversial but I like it for the sheer enjoyment factor as well as the characters, it’s one of the rare occasions where I say that the manga is better than the anime (I’m usually not that guy I swear) Also if you’re ever in need of a good laugh I would suggest watching the My Hero Academia abridged by JoyRide entertainment, it is... a masterpiece.

It's great that you are getting into manga/anime. One Punch Man is one of my faves, and it's kind of a parody of superhero stories so don't worry you'll have fun reading it (and the art is just stunning!). I recently started The Seven Deadly Sins and it's really good, so maybe pick it up when you are up to date with MHA and OPM (the downside of manga is when you have to wait a month for a new chapter, so there's plenty of waiting time between volumes).

I enjoy mangas but sometimes find it hard to justify the price compared to a normal book (in terms of how much time I'll get out of them). I completely understand that so much work went into them, I just wish I could afford them! I'm really interested in the Clockwork mangas though. I found CoB a little.... twilight esk? As someone living in Switzerland for me it's best to get Manga on bookdepository since it's free shipping and they have a lot of Manga available (I want English versions so I have to shop online). I wish I could go to shops and have deals but ah well...gotta live with what you have, right? ;) I just recently started watching My Hero Academia and it's a lot of fun and I love it so far. Never read the Manga tho. I also agree with you about the TID being better than TMI...the TID books really hooked me while with the TMI books I was glad when I was done with it. Great haul! I love Fruits Basket! Also you should definitely check out Our Happy Time (I forget the Japanese title). It's a one volume manga about a man on death row and the woman who goes to visit him. I sat down to read one chapter of it one day and read the whole thing in one sitting. It was absolutely incredible! And it's a one-shot so you can read it quickly.

It's nice to throw in a few manga and graphic novels in with all the books. To answer your previous question, manga are produced in Japan, manhwa are produced in korea, and graphic novels are produced elsewhere (normally america or england, etc)

AAAAHHH ANOTHER BLUE EXORCIST FAN!!! I currently have up to vol. 6 (because no one wants to drive me to the bookstore and the Barnes & Noble near me is small and doesn't always have the next volumes) and it's so good!!!!!! You'll find out pretty soon if you watch the first season of the anime, an arc is missing and that arc appears in season 2. A manga series that I really love is The Seven Deadly Sins. It's about a princess who's on a mission to find the Seven Deadly Sins, which were a group of Holy Knights that were banished from the kingdom, and have a bounty on their head. I also really enjoy Tokyo Ghoul, though it is a little gory. But it follows Ken Kaneki who, after an accident, gets turned into a half-ghoul and follows him as he tries to fit into the ghoul world as well as the human world.

I get most of my manga from Thrift Books. You can get good quality used manga for as low as 4 dollars. Also Jessie I recommend the manga The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzamiha. The plot is hard to explain but it’s really entertaining and I think you would like it.

If you love something with sibling dynamics at the forefront, I'd recommend Fullmetal Alchemist! The plot and the characters are so incredible imo, with many many impactful moments. Also, have fun with Blue Exorcist and One Punch Man, they're so good!!

One Punch!!! Aw man, so good, soooo good. One of my favorites. :) Someone recommended Fullmetal Alchemist and if you haven't experienced that one yet, absolutely at least check it out. I just found your channel today so I don't know your likes/dislikes, but if long manga series are your thing, it's got 27 volumes that are all sooo great. It's personally my all-time favorite. One of my fave things about it is that the world feels more extensive and real than in a lot of manga, especially in how Arakawa brings some of her side characters back around throughout the books, showing that "small characters" are just as able to help in the plot as main or supporting characters, which is so much more realistic than "only the main cast can save the day, lol." I adore it with all my heart--and there are SO MANY amazing characters.... The story itself is amazing, thoughtful, hilarious, intelligent, and just so well-done. I'm sorry to ramble, lol, FMA just holds my heart. I'll stop now. I'm enjoying your vids so far, though, so thanks for sharing your book thoughts/feelings/experiences with us!!

I've been reading Blue Exorcist! I just finished volume 4 and it's so much fun. I really love all the character and the little friends. It kind of reminds me of MHA so you'll probably enjoy it! Best manga site is rightstufanime. I haven't been able to find a better site when it comes to deals. The prices are usually marked down a good deal and then they have sales. It's crazy cheap for brand new manga and they are great when it comes to shipping. Manga series I would recommend: Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul Re. Depending on where you live, there may be a franchise called "Book-off". This place is super awesome, they buy most of their stuff used in great condition so prices range from $3-6/volume. Also sometimes they have special prices of $2 or even $1/volume.
