Serving the plants, serving the earth. I so resonate with this practice. Thank you for giving voice to it.

Thank you. Your video really resonated with me today. I couldn't put into words what it is about gardening and learning about plants, that i enjoy. But " I seek knowledge in order to serve." Really sums it up. Beautiful.

For years I have grown this. But it has been a pain trying to germinate them. Then I watched a video where Richardo was showing how to plant, he was sanding them. I was skeptical but I put some in a container with sandpaper and shook it for a few minutes. Within a week, I had 98% germination. I am now doing this for everything I have had a hard time getting to germinate and they are coming up in days not weeks.

Now I know why I cultivate with my hands. I do the same thing, even the circle. Never realized it before. Just felt right. Thanks.

If you ever have the chance to be in Richo’s presence, jump at the chance. He does not play the role of an herbalist, he IS an herbalist. He does not play the role of a shaman, he IS a shaman. Richo IS Richo. Such a great role model on how to live.

thank you for the information on growing Lemon Cucumbers. I had purchased some seeds from a different seed company and was extremely disappoint with the lack of cucumbers produced by this plant. At first i though it was do the lack of pollinators, so I planted more flowers to encourage bees. Growing in raised beds and vertical planting do to lack of space, so made sure the planting soil was of good quality for growing . This too had no improvement to my harvest. the thought that the seeds were the reason for this problem never crossed my mind. after viewing your video I might try Lemon Cucumbers again. Thank you.

just to illustrate that, a long-time seed grower threw in the towel last year and said "There is no way to charge enough money for how much work goes into producing and saving seeds. it absolutely must be a labor of love, otherwise nobody would be fool enough to do it!"

Appreciate your 'sage' wisdom and information on inter-plantings. Next years garden I'll take some of the 1yr old perennial herbs and get them situated in with the veggies. I have grown the lemon cukes and white sage both wonderful; finally got the germination and right sandy soil mix down for success with the sage. Long time happy customer of Strictly Medicinal Seeds!

Hi what's is recommended for watering the plants I bought from you I wanted to try to keep it on your schedule.... They doing great and have new growth. Hopefully I can plant in the ground soon
@maychecech7278 Жыл бұрын
right, plants from the nursery at strictly medicinal seeds are considered starters. we recommend planting up to gallons on receipt and growing on for at least 3 weeks before transplanting out. this helps immensely. watering is going to be species-specific and i get most of my advice from the plant itself. but as a rule, barring succulents, wait until the surface is dry before watering. one deep, watering is generally better than 3 half-hearted waterings...

@@maychecech7278 oh great, I planted them in a gallon pot and they are doing well their coming in at night so I plant to acclimate them for a week or two since they were just transplanted and they doing great,. Have. New growth for just three days, I don't have a green house yet but I'm using a 5k led light and they doing well... I even have seedlings growing so I'm hoping it'll work. I seen a plant look as ifs covering itself with it's leaves it's strange but leaves went back when it came inside. Thank you for the fast shipping. the plants are a good size. Did you plant more seeds in a pot? I'm asking because I seem to have side shoots or something like babies they have their own roots not like the main plant they were super small about 1/4 the size. Let me know and thanks!
What herbs would you recommend for your lymph nodes in your groin area

How do you start from seed
@StrictlyMedicinalLLC7 ай бұрын
Hi Cal, thanks for writing. You're right, starting from seed is really the best way to propagate this plant. Even recent seed sometimes doesn't work, and that is always puzzling to me. The most foolproof method I've found is to use a flat of coarse, sharp sand. Rub the seed lightly on sandpaper, then press it into the surface of the sand and keep the flat evenly moist and in intense light. Germination usually starts at day 3 and continues for a few weeks. Here's a video on the subject, you'll proabably have to paste it in a browser: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5XHZ4aajJqmftU

Are there male and female white sage plants?
@StrictlyMedicinalLLC5 ай бұрын
Hi, Thanks for getting in touch. The plants are all the same--they make perfect (hermaphroditic) flowers with both male and female parts. The nectar pool is blocked against small bees and accessible to honey and carpenter bees, also hummingbirds. This limits hybridization in the wild. See page 99 of "Growing Plant Medicine Vol 2." All the best, richo
