Love my sage! Try this dip: 1 can or 2 cups cooked cannellini beans, garlic to taste, salt, lemon juice, a little cayenne, a little olive oil and fresh sage leaves. I put in maybe 10 - 12 leaves, or more. Blend in food processor, adjust to taste and dive in. Leave it thicker to use as a spread. We cant get enough of this!

Best remedy ever for excessive sweating and hot flashes, as it cools the body. Works best if you cover dried leaves with apple cider vinegar in a bottle and leave it for 3 weeks, shaking the bottle every day. Then have 3 tsp a day, diluted in water.

I used a lot of sage during my Menopause...I was having horrible nights sweats, soaking the bed every night ,loads of flushes , Crawling under the skin and so moody ..I felt as if someone else had taken over all my emotions and was acting in ways quite foreign to the real me ....it was HELL...and my head got so fuzzY that once when I found my Purse in the FRIDGE I was hardly surprised at all to Find that the butter was in my Handbag !! I was horribly emotional too ...tried all the regular Pills ...no good... then I tried Sage..put a small handful from the garden into a big teapot with boiling water and let it brew overnight... tipped it into a 2 litre bottle Put more boiling water over the Same leaves let them brew and cool added them to the bottle...I the took sips of this strong Mixture every time I walked past the bottle ..all day long....I started to feel a little clearer....but nothing changed much for about a week of drinking 2litre per day then BANG the sweats stopped! The flushes Stopped! My mind became my own again ....I stopped shouting at everyone.....it Was Incredible ! (Sage is for the wise ..older and wiser ....) it is also very powerful ..after about 3 weeks I started to feel a bit unwell so I stopped the sage for a week or so ....then restarted ..some times I would add a handful of dried Red clover heads and leaves to the tea ...this seemed to make the taste and effect more gentle ..smoothing off the hard edges as it were. ....I continued like this on for 3 weeks then off for 7 to ten days whenever I felt the need for a couple of years...Sage truly was my Saviour...I passed the knowledge on to all I met who were struggling with the same condition ...for many it worked but often my method of sipping all day was not practical...but for herb teas that is often the most effective way....(no problem for me ,being self employed) and some , brought up by BIG PHARMA doctors just do not understand how a Herb Tisane can help anyway Your concoction sounds like a very practical answer for these ladies...I shall definitely make some of your recipe for my neighbour ...who is one such...3 teaspoons from a bottle ..she would be more much more comfortable with that 😆 Thanks again Morag for another wonderful video ...beginning another important discussion....also thanks for the reminder...I shall be rooting cuttings from my lovely but Leggy old Sage bush ...some for me , some for my friends, first chance I get...and the Rosemary too ...I find even in uk ..this time of year I can root cuttings in water on the windowsill. I am saving up to join your permaculture course you truly have the gift of inspiring your students. 🙏🏼

I’ve made hardcandy out of them with honey to help in the flu season, also sage tincture by soaking it in vegetable glycerin. Feeling like a head cold or muscle aches, sage tea with a bit of honey and milk can do wonders overnight and will aid in a good night sleep as well. When it goes to seed I catch the seeds as soon as the flowers are done blooming and the seeds are visible, it will have hundreds of them and they can easily be started again into more plants or to give away as small garden gifts to others.

Such a lovely video! For years when I would make a turkey for my family on Thanksgiving I always seasoned it with the famous combination 🎶 "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" 🎶. For me personally you're the only other person I've heard of that cooks with the sweet suggestion of Scarborough Fair.🤗 Best turkeys I'd ever eaten and many compliments! I eat only what grows from the earth now so no more turkeys in my oven.💚 Morag, please continue posting and sharing your ideas. You inspired me through your gentle ways to do no dig gardening. I enjoyed my gardens so much. I recently moved to another state in the U.S., starting over in the garden ... so in the middle of winter I've started a kitchen garden and faithfully feeding my compost pile and laying cardboard out to gently take the grass away in the spring to plant my heart out. I love the idea of not disturbing the topsoil. ❤ Longing for sage and so many beautiful herbs and veggies to grace my garden once more. You're a powerful influence in the gardening community. I've shared most every post I've seen of yours as I find them to be easy listening in addition to inspiring. Many thanks!

Yes I have always loved the way that poultry seasoning smells ; my mom used to always buy the box that has the turkey on the front . When we would make stuffing that's what we would add to it along with cooking the celery apples and onions in lots of butter and adding the poultry seasoning to the bread and the mixture from the frying pan . I always thought it tastes so much better like that beforehand rather than after it was stuffed into the turkey

also, thank you, after watching a vid of yours last year i planted some comfrey babies. they do well in shade in my area. they do not seem to enjoy sun bathing. this is the first year dandelions have abundantly graced the garden and i feel it is because comfrey is providing nourishment and dandelions say, "thanks friend. i needed support. heck yea, i will stand with you" thank you for helping me tend to my garden in ways i could not have imagined. you help me tune to what the little babies need in terms of advocacy. It may seem strange to term gardening in terms of advocacy. perhaps it's just me. also, do plants talk to you? I am asking because I am sure, really sure, so sure I moved them immediately because they were screaming. I can tell the story if any one is inclined to hear, but I must ask, am i alone in this?

@@paulasnatural Thanks for your response. I've been thinking about it these 4 months. should i?shouldn't i? maybe people will think i am weird? well, a four month lookie loo on the internet says no matter what i do some people will think me weird anyway. the day that i first heard the plants was after I'd watched Morag's channel on Jerusalem artichokes. I ordered some online. they'd arrived. i thought they'd be nice in a sunny spot along a fence line. I put the bulbs in temporary homes in several big square buckets and placed them near the fence where their future forever home would be. One day I went out to check on all the little plant babies. Every one seemed fine and i was turning to go inside when all of the sudden it sounded like a low hum of one million stridulating crickets. I am profoundly hard of hearing and it is nearly impossible to discern which direction sound comes from. i was thinking this as i continued to walk away. With each step away the sound became louder. I stopped stepping. the sound stopped. started stepping away and the sound became five times louder than before. so i turned around and faced the artichokes. the sound was still loud but softened slightly. I thought "wha? no way" and each step toward the artichokes the sound softened. upon peering at the artichokes i saw their leaves were being bored into. some little needle like creature was penetrating their leaves. the moment my eyes recognized this. and my brain registered they were in distress and in pain. the chorus of cricket like screaming stopped completely. I promptly dragged the buckets to a different sunny location and they've been happily growing for several years now. thanks for your encouragement Paula's nature.

You can just put it right in the soil and it will start roots from the nodes, can do a rooting hormone if you want but isn't necessary. 🙂 Once you put in the ground or pot just give it a some water, makes it so the soil sticks to the plant and giving it something to grab onto onces roots start.
