Somehow, I don't think that they would be able to tolerate each other for a long period of time without getting into a serious fight unfortunately. They have clashing personalities in a way that can lead to a rather unhealthy outcome unless they have a common enemy. That aside they can work well together when they put their minds to it. Still, I honestly don't think that Oda wouldn't have found a way to remove them from the picture for the moment somehow. He still has plenty of tricks left up his sleeves.

If you look past win-lose ration and analize their fight with BM it's clear that none of them are even close to being on the same level as Yonko. Both of them were on the verge of death and quickly running out of options while Big Mom while was severely wounded still had plenty of her own natural stamina with Soul Soul Fruit's abilities on top of that. If Law and Kidd would not use trick to remove her out of the field they would simply run out of steam and get slaughtered by her.

My favorite parts of the episode were the black and white shots of kids memories, how smooth laws POV changes were while he was fighting Big Mom, the body horror and how well animated her fixing her bones in her body was, the CGI for all of kids creations, the effects were handled really well, the beating law took at the end while he was pinning big mom down and creating the hole to begin with, and then kids giant laser blasting the shit out of big mom, the entire episode was fantastic and it's exactly what i was hoping for and beyond so 20 out of 10 at least for this episode

Kid and Law beating Big Mom is almost more impressive than Luffy and Kaido. Big Mom has some of the highest defense and healing abilities in the series, arguably more than our favorite Dragon Duck. She barely took any hits on the roof meaning unlike Kaido, shes been close to 100% this whole time.

That is the thing, much like Moria now vs Moria in the past, Big Mom has so many ways she could use her fruit that are absolutely terrifying. I use Moria because past him didn't really care about the zombie part of the fruit, he could just steal shadows and amp himself and his men to high heavens. So Big Mom could just ignore homies if she wanted and just collect lifeforce to always be able to put her body back together no matter the damage.

I've got such goosebumps while that intro. it was awesome! but that first flashback quite confused me first. I thought it's Franky as child until I recognized it's Kid. my thoughts are going wild since than. after reading the manga I had that thought about Big Mom and the anime made me think even more about it: Big Mom always says "Mamamama", like always, not only as her stile of laugh, we repeatedly saw all Homies saying "mama" and now we read and saw how she healed herself and how her bones are saying "mama". So I'm thinking: When Big Mom randomly says her "Mama. Mamamama" in between her sentences, is it maybe not her, but her bones- and organes-Homies she created over the years and she is now a huge combination of Homies? and Misery, since this attack is quite kind of independent, is she maybe the soul of Mother Caramel? she looks like a young Mother Caramel, her hair and dress..

The fact they are delaying Gear fifth debut to August means they want it to come out at same time live action One Piece premiers. That would be awsome timing but it also means anime would be moving slower because Big Mom and Kaido were defeated around the same time. Oda made it clear that the era they ruled came to end by having them defeated by worst generation pirates in the same chapter (or chapters that are close to each other).

24:24 - The way how animation operates is not frames per second but drawing per second. Usually in anime If I remember correctly 12 drawings per second is standard, but for more fluid animation it's doubled up to 24 dps. Worth noting that drawing shots means more work for animators, which obviously costs more money. This is how you use budget properly. There is way to maintain fluid 24 dps for basically entire show and not kill budget by reducing detail of drawings, but It's usually done for shorter series. The only exception from last few years I can think of that was longer anime was Pokemon Sun Moon.

Omg Tekken i have Theory! If you remember people thought Shanks was based off Tyr of Norse Mythology. What if its not shanks but Kidd who is based off Tyr and Shanks Is Based Fenrir Because Tyr Gave His Arm to The Wolf who tried to devour the moon and that moon is blackbeard. Tyr was also known as a hero of the people aswell. So if kidd is still alive if he tells them he took down big mom will they accept him and become friends with fenrir (shanks) to calm down and become friends.
