It would be cool if 1320 made a video series of the lower 48 drag tracks. Visit 1 from each state and make a video about an event or just about the history of the track and maybe visit some abandoned tracks and fill us in on the history of the once renowned famous track that is now shut down. I would watch.
@warriorpi7 ай бұрын
Well, when they got to Utah they'd need a time machine because the race track that had been there for 50 years closed after the 2018 season and was torn down for a fucking warehouse. The only thing that survives of the track itself is a bit of turn four of the circle track and the shut down area of the dragstrip. If you want before and after photos look up Rocky Mountain Raceways on Google.
@fondfarewell27 ай бұрын
Sounds like a lot of work for probably no return.
@warriorpi7 ай бұрын
Plus with Utah there isn't much left of the track that was there. They tore it down after the 2018 season for a warehouse I think and the only surviving pieces of the raceways park are a little bit of turn four of the circle track and the shutdown area. I was sad to see it go and I'm still kinda pissed lol. If you wanna look it up, the track was named Rocky Mountain Raceways. The address was 6555 W 2100th S, West Valley, Utah, 84044. The track was in operation for 50 years and had sold out crowds at almost every event, especially at the closing race. Edit, never mind. I think it's all gone now. Never, never mind. Right above the Duluth Trading company you can still see the shutdown area of the dragstrip, and the outline of what used to be a motocross course

@@demarkisdinkins2737 im not a brand loyalist. however bretts car definitely is still ford. it still has the factory voodoo heads and its a predator block with sleeves, but its a 302 ci bc of the sleeves i believe. so the block is still ford, just with sleeves bc u can get a predator in a production vehicle. it still has the factory ford crank as well so u were wrong about that. the lifters and timing are all ford. it does have different rods, pistons, valves and bearings. it has twin 76mm turbos with a th400 i believe as the transmission. as well as a built ford 9 inch rear end. considering it still has a decent amount of ford parts, only 76mm twins (since alotta cars that fast are usually atleast 88m), and with how much he has the suspension and tunes dialed in makes it a very impressive build yes the Ls is still great. but ive yet to see an Ls with as many chevy parts as brett has ford parts, dominate so many events back to back. in racing its also a little bit of luck imo. u need certain things out of your control to go right, such as someone not crashing into u, u not breaking traction, nothing breaking, etc etc. and to have bretts car dominate as many events as it did still with factory parts and how dialed in it is speaks for itself. he made it look effortless when in reality thats far from the truth. and he took a different setup approach rather than just a Ls or big block. lets all just give him props for that bretts car was easily the most dominant car of this year
