I live in Thanet and it’s a very mixed area, black white, Indian , a lot of Eastern Europeans so wouldn’t say it’s racist. My family are black and my cousin ran a Caribbean restaurant on Margate seafront for a while and my uncles mate has just opened one on the harbour. They both get a lot of support not racism

I would argue that most white British would have the same lack of knowledge of German culture or even Welsh culture (for any Britain not Welsh.) We all simply have an interest in what affects us.
