35:16 - The face of Keeley Hawes realizing she underestimated Kevin Bridges 😂 The Bulgarian Horse story will always be my favorite moment on Wilty (together with Bob Mortimer's best bits).
I am hearing the horse story for the 2nd time and I am wheezing with laughter. 🤣 Again! Just watching David trying to get the facts straight ("...extortionate rate...") and Lee convulsed on the desk would almost have you believing it couldn't possibly be true. But good on him for sticking with it to the end. 😂 One of the funniest segments I've seen on WILTY. 😆

Actually the Bulgarian horse story is quite plausible if it happened somewhere in early 90s, as the exchange rate would be 1 GBP for 38 BGN. And people would sell anything just to get some stable currency in cash.

I remember Standard Fireworks, they were the best brand. And the excitement around early to mid October, in the 1950s, when someone excitedly said, They've got bangers (exploding fireworks, firecrackers, beloved of boys then) in the local shop. Fireworks could only legally be sold about a month before November 5th, Bonfire or Guy Fawkes' Night. Great memories.

I said, "But you sold me one this morning", and she told me to be quiet about that, and sold me another one to make me go away! lol On another occasion, I gave myself a minor electric shock when I tried to light a sparkler off of a bar on our electric fire! I remember the pain shooting up my arm and my hand going numb, then me immediately looking around to make sure nobody had seen me, feeling stupid and sheepish, fully understanding what I'd done wrong and why. lol I was about nine or ten years old, I guess!
