Congratulations Bella! My daughter went to a Middle College for 5 years after her dad passed away. #1 make sure that all of your credits are transferable! My daughter just graduated from Engineering College. Funny story, she graduated from college (w/2 Associates degrees) 3 weeks before graduating from high school. She secured her internship at the age of 17 a few months after graduating. Proud of you! The sky is the limit!

Yes! I went to nursing school and was very close to done when I had to move to a new state... most of my credits didn't transfer! At that time I was really struggling with health issues and had to go on disability and redoing all of it wasn't an option. I couldn't have started working anyway, but I still could've finished with my degree! So yes- it's so important!

Congrats! I was an RN at Johns Hopkins and I have a bit of advice if you'd like it- -don't buy scrubs yet until you know if they have certain school scrubs she needs or a specific colour -I'd suggest CNA track over the MA because you'll get the experience directly caring for more patients (especially if you get a job on a surgical unit in a hospital). MAs don't typically work on units in hospitals so you'll be further from your area of interest of surgery -life is not like Grey's Anatomy. Be prepared to wipe butts, get puked on, get yelled at, and question your every decision that brought you into the medical field. School and work and life will be hard, but you'll get through it -Cs get degrees. These courses and pathways are designed to be challenging -CNAs, dietary staff, custodial staff, phlebotomy, etc make the hospital function. No job is too small for anyone who's been trained how to do it. Treasure those staff members because they will make or break your shift and your patient's experience. -Be curious! Ask all your questions, write down everything you observe that you don't already know, and even Google lists of things to learn. There is a time, place, and way to ask your questions, but that's what will take your understanding and relationships to the next level. Ask your "why's and how's"! -find the staff that have the most experience and learn from them -get a mini sharpie, mini highlighter, and 4-colour pen to add to your badge reel so you always have them and people can't borrow them to never return them (also hoard pens) -get compression socks and shoes with support (comfort over style) -have your own trauma shears too If you have any questions or advice about anything more specific just reply to this comment or message me at @their.trans.nurse

As a foster mama I’m literally sobbing. We do littles and then pass them on to adoptive families, so we don’t see the outcomes.. plus the ones we’ve passed on are still young and elementary age.. but I pray they will continue their education and go to college. So seeing this video of Bella and how far she has come in such a short time I’m bawling my eyes out! Great parents and good job Bella!

Crystal, Bella got in a Community College program that is parallel with her High School. She can take classes in the Community College and they will count towards both High School and Community College graduation. The program is called PSEO short for Post Secondary Enrollment Option. Certainly not medical school. Medical school requires 4 year college degree…

Congratulations, Bella! Grey’s is a great series. TV shows inspire a lot of people. My mom is a lawyer because she liked this old show, Perry Mason. And my best friend is an archaeologist because she loved Indiana Jones. And if I think about it, I’m a writer because of Jo March in Little Women. Sometimes interest in life comes from the life stories we get introduced to in fiction. Best of luck!

Congratulations Bella! I am so proud of you kiddo! That's amazing! I want to tell everybody that reads this.... If you have a dream do not give up! What does many things that I have been through in life I have not given up on my college education even at 43 years old!!!! First time I've ever applied to college was in my early twenties and I must have been six different colleges by now (I think two other colleges I've been to twice). My first dream was to be an RN or a nurse anesthetist, but without their having a back surgery I realize that I need to sitting down job I decided to go into Medical Billing and Coding in which I absolutely fell in love with doing... Until I got overwhelmed with only six classes left to do and took a break... Then I was told that the college I was at that you have to finish your degree and a certain amount of time or you can finish with that degree. I think that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! A couple weeks ago I figured I'd go ahead and give it a shot and try again at the same College and now I'm going for my Medical Administrative Assistant but I'm very grateful that the credits that I have towards my other degree are transferable for this one. So it will not take me to years to complete my associates degree in Medical Administrative Assistant. I am one that does not give up on things easily! I wish I would have finished this but I can't change the past. Please people just don't give up on your dreams no matter what they are! Miracles can happen and dreams do come true! I get inspired answer you guys every video that I watch.... And I want to thank you all so much for that! Much Love Always, Kristen B 💕💕💕💕

I don’t think Crystal is nuts, she’s just excited for her kid and trying to be as encouraging as possible. It’s true that they have duo programs while still attending high school to earn college credits towards medical school down the line.. bc every credit counts but I wouldn’t exactly call what Bella is about to attend “medical school” just yet. It’s more than likely a medical “program” where she’ll learn the basics like taking blood pressure, learning how to draw blood and even filling out medical charts.. etc. Bella is going to a medical assistant program which was mentioned several times in this video, I think Crystal just worded wrong at first in her excitement bc you do have to maintain good grades to attend those college starter programs so it’s definitely something to be proud of. 👍🏼😊 Just a bit of trivia that some of you may know already, and some maybe not. 🤔 Grey’s Anatomy is actually the title of a very thick book, they call it the doctor’s bible. It’s a reference book for beginning interns but seasoned doctors still rely on it sometimes too. 😊🥼🩺

Why don’t you be nice and let a parent be proud of their kids. Like why do you have to be mean to someone like something so little as wording when congratulating a child?!?!?!!
@cookingsmart1235 Жыл бұрын
@shelby edwards because her saying her daughter got into med school when she's not even done high school devalues the struggle of those that spend many years to get into med school. It also sets an unachievable expectation for other students who are left wondering why they don't get into med school from high school. Yes she can be a proud mom, but for what her daughter actually got into
