If you put hot charcoal in a closed box wont they just get smothered and stop burning? A container is a large volume you probably need an air blower to keep the charcoal well vented and why not just use your wood chip it would be cheaper.

@@OllyBlogsAgricontractfarmer I hadn't considered the smoke, some might see that as a plus, but I still think you need holes to create an air flow to feed the fire. Does the container already contain ventilation holes or is it air tight? I guess you could try having the door ajar with the coals close to the door.

Just a thought to retain and keep the heat in the oven, while the charcoal is heating up place some tractor weights among it in the trays, these will heat up with the charcoal then stick the whole lot into help the heat retention while baking. Hope it goes well good luck.

Try put some Hollow pipes into the bread to get the heat into the centre and pull them out when done. Like The way a Stream engine has them to heat the water but have yours so you can pull them out

Sometime Olly can you do a bit of a review on the Solid tractor and what you think of it and how easy is spare parts and service parts available for these tractors. Some have an ecu and add blue and as nobody I know has one that I can ask about these tractors and obviously those selling them will only praise them but it would be nice to hear both sides of them provided that you are allowed to review this brand.... Hope your dough rises ok tomorrow....

The reason the tank didnt leak is due to it being stood on the ground which was sealing it.
