I can wait for the season to reopen. Perch from the rivers are so much fun. They hit the lure much harder and fight much better than canal perch.

Great catches man you make it look so easy, you seem to have perfected the art of fishing that lure been trying for the past few weeks and nothing but pikes or blanks. Would you mind sharing what lure you were using and the name of that net also?

Thank you! The lure is ecogear. There are many good lures on eBay that will catch perch. Just have to select the right one for the right situation, but the most important thing I would say is pick the right day to go fishing.

Thank you! Well, these perch won the Perch league. I used to fish with cheap gear at the begging and slowly started to upgrade with better stuff( I always buy second hand from the facebook groups or exchange my gear for better one(paying a bit on top) ), but I can tell you the pleasure that good stuff gives you when fishing is on another level 😉

@andexxx 23 Duo Rosante 63sp, Savage Gear 3D twitch minnow(this one is very hard to find in colour green silver ayu), Megabass X80Jr any in natural colour will do the job. This 3 usually will trigger a big perch to bite and will catch you pike as well, which will make your day unpredictable and fun. However, smaller lures around 4 cm are also good in the winter just because small perch does not feed on fish during this period, and if perch hit the lure should be over 30 cm. I'm a fan of natural colours, so I would suggest keeping it real 😉

I hope it helps you improve your twitching technique, but every time is different, so you have to adapt accordingly to what the fish wants. Sometimes, they react well on aggressive twitches and sometimes will be the opposite. There is no wrong or right way( is what the fish wants)

The light rod is Yamaga Blanks Jig-Special nano 1.5-15gr. The ultralight is Tailwalk Ajist TZ 69SL up to 5gr, but best performs with up to 3gr(weight+soft plastic lure)
