Although darkness, more precisely dusk, is more productive than day, you can find zander even during the day in the strongest sun. They like shadows, treetops over water and tree stumps, they like shadows of bridges and pillars in the water...

Zander take bait near the bottom, especially in the colder months. Adjust your weight so the lure is suspended from the bottom for 3-7 seconds after you retrieve and fish with pauses

This is why Danny always beats you at catching Zander @4:59 You are not even holding a fishing Rod. While you are doing this, cast the line out at the same time. With those movements no Zander is gonna resist lol If you follow this instructions and you catch the biggest Zander please come back and pin this comment so others can learn and do the same. We can call it the Zander Dance lol If you fish the Bedworth canal between sutton stop. I know for a fact there is a 12lb 3oz Zander in there and its probably even bigger now 17 months later. That was a nice Zander towards end of video. Enjoyed this one guys.

Fantastic video thank you The plight of the zander such a fun sporting fish to catch and indeed the only anglers you c on canals nowadays is lure anglers like myself and seems every one wants to catch one With their original stocking in Woburn abbey in the late 1800’s with further stocking by British water boards in the late 60’s on fens they have fantastically spread They are a fantastic fish to catch with fish into double figures graciously taking my lures around the midlands canals Unfortunately the crt fronted mr John Ellis pay MEM fisheries fronted by Ralf Thomas who is Johns nephew by the way are destroying our canals frying them with electro fishing causing harm to all species of fish and upsetting the bio diversity of our canals Electro fishing is not working and indeed causing a small zander explosion It is corrupt and they no they will never win The zander cull has to stop Both John and Ralf no me well as an avid campaigner to fight for the zander Easily my fave species of fish I thought it important to say this as it’s a subject that can’t be forgotten Thanks
