Great climbing and cutting technique there fella ! That was one knarly tree.2 days of that and your legs were probably telling you all about it eh, LOL. We got a couple steel lined Kevlar ropes too that are amazingly light and flexible and will stop a chain in the track. Just a little extra feel good while you are up there. It's being developed and landscaped. But it would make more sense to fill some holes and re grass than it would be to rig every piece down.. even if it wasnt to be developed. Oh no, I was being sarcastic. If a homeowner wanted a tree removed, but had more interest in his grass, then his priorities are mixed up or either he is stupid. @NZarboristBryce6 жыл бұрын
Hi Dan, It mostly depends on the weight and the footpath beneath. The long branches with foliage, have zero chance of cracking the concrete, where as the heavy chunks will. Let me know where in the video you're confused about the branches I did rope and lower. Cheers Bryce
@Dan-oj4iq6 жыл бұрын
Brice: Thanks for your reply. You know I didn't consider the weight of the drop. But now that you told me it makes perfect sense. For some weird reason I watch an awful lot of tree felling and chain saw videos. Never used a chain saw and never will but I do know for a fact that it is rated as the most dangerous job of all. Something very fascinating about cutting trees. An expert can "guess" where a tree or branch is going to go once cut but wood has a life of its own and is always unpredictable. Especially dead wood.

Old growth refers to growth of trees in a forest setting undisturbed by man and growth that began under a forest canopy which continued undisturbed until it emerged from within the forest canopy. Such growth results in a tight dense distribution of growth rings, up to 40-50 rings per inch. That tree is no old growth.
