There aren't many point guards in the league who can come to Boston and be a huge upgrade over Smart. Smart is a tremendous player, especially defensively. Offensively, he is streaky and throws up a ton of attempts. Jrue knows whom he is playing with, and he only hogs shots when he senses the team needs him to step up. Jrue is as good a defender I've seen at guard, and I was blessed to watch Cooper, Dumars, Jordan and Dennis Johnson in their prime. But I've NEVER seen a defender so smooth on picks and switches. The way he dances through switches...it's true artistry. Multiple times this season, I saw him defend both the picker and the player with the ball all by himself while his teammate stood behind him as a 2nd line of defense. Jrue is special.

These are the prestige rankings cause I think the Knicks should be on this list ahead of OKC. SGA is amazing but getting down and dirty, the Knicks have not only MVP candidate but two lock down 3D players with 7 foot wing spans who can score and drop 3s at 40% rate. Top four Knicks have to be in top 5 with Randle. Or you put Randle on top 3 and you have multiple all star etc. Come on.

I was Perk's biggest fan back in the day. When he came into the league, he got into great shape and was a good defender, rebounder , and enforcer. If he doesn't get hurt, Cs win in 2010. Never lost a playoff series with him in the starting lineup. Most, if not virtually, all ex-Celtics remain Celtics at heart. (Even saw Ray Allen at the Garden during the finals wearing a Celtics shirt). For some reason ($,espn, woke agenda?), Perk decided to become a loose cannon on national media. I'm not saying that you have to be a homer, but you don't have to disrespect where you played and who you played for. He can say anything he wants - we still have relative fee speech, but man, I never thought I would come to loath a man that I used to love.
