One of the biggest Brock defenders was Rams/Cardinals QB. I'll take a HOF QB take rather than these TV analyst saying purdy can't play any day.

Only people who say Purdy is playing “badly” are the ones who don’t understand the game or the position. He’s playing very well, but has made some mistakes. Mistakes that every QB has to make and learn from eventually. He will come out better on the end because of it.

The people saying he's playing badly have been waiting for him to have bad games so they can say "I told you!". These people believe you have to be 6'5 with a rocket arm and a fast 40 time. If you don't "look" like the typical QB then you can't be any good. It's crap and low-level thinking

@@drewschumann1Burrow does not have an Oline or defense and can win at clutch moments. Mahommes was able to win SBs witout an Oline and defense. Niner fans are so desperate for a decent QB because you havent won anything in almost 30 years. You guys already sold everybody that Purdy is the next Brady. Ok I expect Purdy to win witout supporting cast. Purdy has to win the SB this year or hes a fraud. Niner fans are pathethic ( 30 years witout winning anything pathetic)

Question. Why are you watching this video if you don't want to learn something? Thank you for taking time out to show us a breakdown of plays. Brock is doing fine. Actually better than expected with elbows and concussions. Mistake free ball is improbable on a week to week basis, even for the "Freak QB's". We've seen Allen and now Mahomes lose games on their gameplay against teams that they had no business losing to. Nobody said anything. Mahomes was sick and Allen was jet lagged. Anyway point of this is 1) watch the video from a neutral third party who didn't have to make any video in the first place 2) nobody's perfect everybody has bad days. 3) RELAX

Brock is exceptional at evading a defense. His ability to use bursts of speed with nimble movements are also incredible. He is without a doubt one of the best QB's in the NFL (he's already in my top 5 favorites to watch). ...but I do need to say that Joe Burrow physically tossing and stiff-arm shoving away from the 49ers top of their game defense was next-level spectacular because Burrow had to get physical to get away while maintaining control of the ball and it was nice to see some of his LSU ferocity emerge after having undergone the MCL/ACL surgery a couple years ago. (I didn't figure he'd ever play that aggressively again.) But nobody will convince me that I'm seeing a downgrade if I'm watching 2022 Mr Irrelevant move the chains down the field or I'm watching the 2020 1st pick of the 1st round of the draft. They're both incredible QB's that are bookends to some very mediocre talent.

Exactly. Aaron Rodgers took a Super Bowl caliber team to a 6-10 record his first year as a starter. Brett Favre threw 24 ints despite having Sterling Sharpe to throw to his first "full" year as a starter (because he came in for injured Don Majkowski the year before and finished the season.) One has a gold jacket, the other has one waiting. Oh, and the guy guving expert analysis here has one too. 😊 Brock Purdy will be fine.

Funny how these so called faithful fans to the death are happy campers while he is doing great. However, the moment he makes his growing pains mistakes, he no longer is that good. Its not all his fault and believe me there is enough fault to go around to the whole team. When your defense is completely flat and you as a QB have to play catch up ball is tough. Have some faith in the 49ers. Last season at this time I think the 49ers were 3-5 and we made it to the NFC Championship. Remember that Purdy is human and prone to make mistakes. Now he has to learn from them and not repeat them.

And that was #74 Spencer Burford at 3:00 in the video that just leaves his side and goes to the left side to block no one, leaving a D-lineman to charge Purdy uncontested. Jennings has issues catching the ball at times and doesn't get separation like he should. Aiyuk has run some bad routes lately and has been dropping balls. Kittle has been dropping a few as well. All of this happening in the same game doesn't usually end well. Overall, the entire team has been messing up. Even CMC with the fumbles. Moody with the missed kicks. Missed tackles and opportunities by the defense. D-line not getting sacks. It is a systemic issue. Blaming it on Purdy is idiotic. My biggest concerns are the play-calling, the O-line and the CB's. Purdy's issues will remedy themselves over time.

It’s crazy that he needs this much attention, I get it. He’s a young QB who was playing really good, almost perfect and then all of the sudden he’s making mistakes. Yeah, he’s a 1 year starter. He’s still progressing and growing. He’s going to make mistakes but he’s going to learn from them. That’s how it happens and every single QB throws ints. Tom Brady did it, Russel Wilson did it and still does it, Justin Herbert, Trevor Lawrence, Patrick mahomes all throw ints. It happens. He’s young, he’s learning the system. It shouldn’t be this hard to understand. He’s shown greatness early on. He just needs the rest of his team to come thru and help him win. He needs a strong defense, stronger than what we’ve seen in the last three games. If he can get every single phase of this team functioning at a high level, he’ll be fine.

As a 49er fan, I must confess that our fan base is utterly ridiculous. Less than a month ago Purdy was the next Joe Montana. As soon as he stopped being perfect, he's terrible and needs to be benched. 1-2 picks per game was the norm with Jimmy G for years, but that was ok because he "knew how to win". But Purdy, who is essentially still playing his first full season, and has already played better than Jimmy G ever did, makes a couple rookie mistakes and now he's a failure. The entitled arrogant narcissistic delusional grandeur Californian stereotype is STRONG amongst the 49er faithful. 🤦‍♂️

I honestly think the thing that irritates me the most in the Purdy discussion is comparing him to Jimmy G. Have any of these people watch Jimmy play in the last 5 years? Brock threw what, 6 plays over 20 air yards in this game alone? Jimmy hadn't done that combined since he blew out his knee. Not to mention his ability to extend a play when the O-line falls apart. Our “rough patch” has been 3 games scoring 17 while the defense progressively gave up more and more points. Should’ve beat the Browns on a kick, let Cousins without Jefferson look like the MVP and lost to a surging Burrow straight up. Jimmy couldn’t complete the pass at 10:01 maybe 1 or 2 times out of 10. Im not worried about Brock. We’ve got everything we could hope for after getting rid of trey and rolling with Mr. Irrelevant. The idea behind this team is that he’s good enough because they D is supposed to dominate and hes got weapons. We have to stay healthy and the defense needs to live up to its billing.

Great analysis. I would just say this. Being almost 70, I've learned that over 65 years watching NFL qbs. His OL, that is protecting the 49ers qb, every play you've shown, this OL is the softest I've ever seen go 5-0 to start a NFL season. There is one double team getting defeated every play! There is one direct untouched to the qb, pass rusher, on every play!!untouched!! On the weak plays, where the QB is bothered, unclean pockets, Purdy is Fran tarkenton. Who never got a ring! But watching the scrambler, its a quick lateral move and a step into the open space within a half a second, allowing a wr, reset. Into more space, and his second look, is deadly!!! He is a player that makes it happen. The experts are damn wrong. I would say thank you Mr warner, reason is what it is, very little media, gets the correct analysis. Experts get it mostly wrong, only one team wins, sf, with 5 rings, ain't suppressing their fans going 500 over 7 long years, if Purdy can't get it done, its on kyle, his bulls hood attitude, injury riddled, turnover of DC, every season.all kyle, all the blame, great system to go 500, but if your after a ring....its failing, this season is it, I'm about change sick of this regime too long too self destructive too conservative can't put teams not cowgorls, Way

People aren't saying Purdy played bad the entire game. They are saying he played bad in the 4th QT when the game mattered most and he did. What you do in the first 3 QT doesn't mean much if consistently fail in the 4th qt to lead your team back. It's better for Purdy to struggle 3 quarters and lead the team back to victory in the 4th then to play well 3 QT then shit the bed in the 4th. Think of Trevor Lawerence vs Chargers playoff game last year. No one gave a fuck about the 4 inceptions after Trevor lead the comeback.
@addster124
@addster124 11 ай бұрын
That's not true long term. The mistakes purdy made in the 4th can be corrected. The fact that he is playing well for the most part means he's really good. Stinking for 3 qtrs consistently and bailing yourself out in 4th isn't good long term because it means you aren't good at a lot of things but the defense is keeping it close or your opponent did something stupid. It's not sustainable. If you don't improve then when the margin of error gets smaller, you won't be in position to come back from such a deficit.

@@kevinalan2028 Him and CMC were 3-0 together on Carolina when healthy. On a team that almost finished dead last that season. With a worst line and NO TALENT or coaching. I Just want to see it one time. I'm telling you. As hard as it is to believe. He's going to look good under Shanahan.

CMC is not 💯 Percent. When he pulled himself out of the game 2 weeks ago. He hasn't been the same. If I were the niners. Ide sit him until he were healthy.

@@AndrewMay537 DJ Moore is better than Aiyuk. Whatever the reason, CMC isn’t doing shit. The 9ers have the worst tackles. It starts up front. Sam would be a disaster in the current situation

@@AndrewMay537 He's not "going" to play under Shanahan unless Purdy gets hurt. In the two years with Carolina, Sam Darnold had 15 TDs to 16 INTs. In 2021 he was 4-7 as a starter. 2022, he was 4-2. Both years CMC was there. Sam Darnold under center isn't going to all of a sudden make the offensive-line block better, or open holes for CMC. Hard *NO* on this.

Lol i see this guy everywhere. I don't think he's niners fan but he's on every niners video hating on Purdy. If you are a niners fan, what is the point you are trying to make? You want them to draft a QB next year? Don't you think they will do that if Purdy plays like crap for the whole season? Seems like you could just as easily go around hating on Josh Allen. He has 8 interceptions on a 5-3 team, must be garbage.

We gone let yall keep covering for Purdy and allow him to self-destruct on his own. Also allow him to piss his supporters off when you guys see him for who he is, a 3rd. string QB... No more back and forth because you guys are in denial like with Jimmy.. It was about experience when Trey was there so...... Darnell has more perfessional experience so Darnell should be in there now....

It's Darnold, not Darnell. Didn't they compete for the job and Purdy beat him? It's hard to not start a guy that has great stats with a 15-5 record. He has to play badly for at least 3-4 more games before he can be benched. He hasn't been bad enough yet and I think that's what videos like this are trying to point out. He hasn't played that badly yet. No one is saying he can't be benched if he turns the ball over 3 times every game. Honestly, the defense is the bigger issue right now anyways.
