High pressure was/is predicted to dominate the S.E. USA because of El Niño.... Lots of big and strong hurricanes are also predicted in the eastern Atlantic off Africa because of higher than normal surface temperatures.... The predicted high is also predicted to steer those storm off and northward. BUT ! ! ! At times when that high breaks down or moves.... If it happens at the same time as a big hurricane, that storm might come westward and threaten the East Coast of the USA.....
