right, in order to bring it to life they need to enrich this water with oxygen by putting a few oxygen pumps into the middle of the pond. Otherwise, it becomes a dead foul-smelling brackish stagnant pond.

We had 4 inches of rain in 15-20 minutes on June 19 and the dugout still has suspended silt, fine clay particles no matter what I’ve tried, alum, pool clear, etc. read where it could take months to settle out. That pond job you did looks real nice! Love that kind of work, could watch this all day,did lots of this on small scale,R.M.,private so on,made my dugout and pond with my old 580B case backhoe, hauled dirt away with my gravel truck until it was hard dumping it out, borrowed neighbours model 60 cat scraper and pulled it with my 8030 allis, worked great,I wish I could send you pics.

Wow that’s better than I thought it was going to be, beautiful. Just hope all that brown dirt settles to the bottom. OK throw some aquatic plants in there, that be nice and as long as they don’t get out-of-control! But they help with oxygen.

Looks good. One scoop at a time. Like all the different ponds. My choice in that material would be a 627F, E, or G. I know you're paying for your rigs, so makes sense using it. But running 80,000 lbs across the dam would hammer it in. Maybe choke the import rock before it goes unraveled and off the slope. 3.1 slopes look great. Looks like the bottom was barely deflecting an inch seeing Volvo tire tracks. Perfect! Great looking job!

Great work. Once the bridge is installed and both sides are connected, that will be beautiful. Also, its big enough that it can be stocked up really well with fish. As a personal choice, I would have wanted a small dock built for a fishing pier or just somewhere to sit and let my feet dangle in the water on a hot day.

What kind of fish are you stocking in your lake? How many fish of each species, and how soon will you be starting the stocking process? I'm full of questions, and I know that. I'm just curious, that's all. Glad to be a new subscriber, too. This is a channel worth subscribing to! On a personal note, I'd start with 500-1,000 Largemouth Bass, about 500 Spotted Bass, 1,000-2,000 Black Crappie, 1,000-2,000 White Crappie, 500-1,000 mixed bag of Bluegill & Suncrackers, & 3,000-5,000 Shiners. Then, I'd probably go with 200-300 mixed bag of Flathead and Channel Catfish. Add about a dozen or so Grass Carp...and there ya go! Of course, I'm not trying to tell you what to do on your own property, as it relates to your new lake. I'm just saying that that's what I'd do, if it was my lake. Have fun with whatever you want to do, stocking-wise! Have a great weekend!

I have watched a good amount of letsdig18 videos. All of them are awesome and this pond/lake is going to be on the most pretty ones of them all. I do have a question and if anyone reading this could help me answer the following question: At what point (Ex: Size, Depth, Flow, Soil Type, etc.) does the Army Core of Engineers need to be involved? Just curious as I know the bigger lakes are often managed by the Army Core of Engineers to make sure floods don’t get out of hand and stuff like that. Dam good stuff!
