They aren't the easiest cars to build for that reason. I've reconditioned and am reusing many parts on this build that I would have otherwise replaced if it were a more common vehicle. That makes the project more endearing in its own twisted way, in my opinion; it makes you work for it.

Buy better quality pipe, without visible weld seams!

The quality of the tubing is high - weld seams are part of the manufacturing process. The same with most stainless tubing, stainless piping, inconel tubing, etc. The manufacturing process does not dictate the material's quality.

@@AlexLindner Yep, I agree, was not thinking whilst typing, Quality can still be high on seamed pipe, I'll rephrase; Just buy seamless pipe, plus I haven't come across any seams on GR5 Ti pipe ever! But that may be just my supply, and each manufacturer should have many options!

@@BUZDRIFT You hit the nail on the head with different manufacturers doing things differently. I use only seamless pipe for my exhaust manifolds to avoid visible seams. In the instance featured in this video, I was showcasing a point that people new to welding/fabrication may not have considered in hopes to instill a higher level of attention to detail in their work. I do agree that a seamless option would be nice, although I value my relation with Ticon more than sourcing materials elsewhere.

@@AlexLindner I agree, a reliable relationship with a supplier is the no:1 thing to look for, if you have a patchy supply then there's a loss on your business side! Damn, would have assumed Ticon would do seamless pipe?! What's really hard to find is 4" oval titanium pipe!
