They got it for him to cover the costs of recording, promoting, and distributing him. Him and his wife should have had a separate life insurance policy for her and the kids in case he died. First of all for many who do not know this, many companies takeout life insurance on their employees. Mostly big companies do this, the money isn’t for the employees family it’s for losses the company may have do to the employees dying before time. Real estate companies do it as well. But not just any real estate company. Big firms that take on million dollar contracts do it. For the reason that if an employee is handling let’s say a multi million dollar contract and that employee dies, the customer may decide to part ways with that firm as they dealt with the firm because of the bond with that agent. The company can recoup those funds through the life insurance. This has happened before, a ladies husband had died thinking the life insurance his company took out on him would take care of his wife. He had never looked into that contract and never took out his own. When he died the wife called the company thinking they were covered, the company had over a million dollar life insurance on him and she received nothing from it as it was a company life insurance which paid out to the company for lost wedges. The wife went and got a lawyer to fight for the money and lost in court as the insurance was in the companies name. Puns wife will never see a dime of that money as the label put money into Pun’s career and do to his untimely death they lost money. Now why didn’t her and Pun think about their kids when they had the money to put aside. Why does she think people on the outside are going to be thinking about her kids if Pun dies, that’s not their job to do. They are into the make money not let’s think for our artiest, she has also said that Fat Joe has given her a few million after Pun past away. Why didn’t she put aside some of that for her kids knowing that the day would come when Joe wouldn’t be giving her funds anymore. Joe is a small fish in this big ocean the corporate companies gained from Puns lost Joe got basically finders fees.
