Keenan Ivory Wayans Finally Reveals In Living Color Darkest Secrets!

Went to school with Keenan at Tuskegee Institute and we stayed in the same dorm. He was hardly the funny man that the world knows him now to be. He was an engineering major and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity (in other words, a smart guy). I remember when he told us that his was leaving school to go to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. We thought he was crazy to leave in his last year of school, but he obviously was not afraid to chase his dream and in doing so, brought his entire family with him to the top!!! It has been wild to watch the low-key, serious guy that I knew and interacted with in college, become the mega super-star, ground-breaking writer, actor and producer that he has become.

Yeah, he even wrote part of 'Eddie Murphy Raw'.

Epic COMMENT! Takes an honest and true soul to offer real insight of another (which "they" knew), and give such a nonresentful response to offer such praise and respect ; ESPECIALLY, IN THESE TIMES! Bravo to you! And really thanx for the share! They were the best comedy group / satire, bar-none . Would love if they (WOULD) revived the gang. Even jim Carrey noted "if" they did reboot the show, that he would consider coming back to primetime. But AGAIN! Stellar comment.

I say this earnestly and mean no disrespect but why mention your race? There were at least two main characters on the show who were white, Jim Carey and Kelly Coffield. So what does your race have to do with watching and enjoying the show? All my friends watched this back in the day Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, etc. There was no race or cultural prerequisite to watch the show. It was simply an extremely funny show with a diverse cast that poked fun at anything and everything and we all agreed that it was extremely entertaining and funny.

In Living Color had some of the most incredible talent of any show. It was amazing they had that much star power. Other shows (SNL) did have popular stand outs, like Eddie Murphy and a few others but nothing like In Living Color.
@terrimac7993Ай бұрын
Don't forget Chris Rock from SNL. SNL was maybe a bit more cerebral and not as much silliness. It may be time for SNL to end, not as good as it used to be. I did like ILC and have fond memories of that time and sketches. Mention it throughout the years. And, of course, Jim Carey kept the memory alive throughout his career.

This show was definitely before its time. It was PHENOMENAL!!! It would air on Sunday night, after Martin. We would talk about both shows first thing Monday at work. I don’t think it could make it in 2024. Everyone is entirely too serious and over sensitive about humor.😅
@kimricks201129 күн бұрын
Yes it was definitely before it’s time. Because he could air everything today and there would be no restrictions, since the media put any and everything on TV. Some things I don’t even wanna damn see they have it 😂 it’s sad that the reason he ended it is because of all those restrictions, that They kept making up on a weekly basis. And then started exploiting him or his show by showing reruns without his consent. SMH wonder if he ever sued them for that because it’s not right! They wanted to make their own money off of his show …or make more money rather. Greed at its finest.
