Phil Landes (aka Big Randy) has become one of golf media’s favorite characters via his appearances across No Laying Up's platforms, yet a part of him is ducking the spotlight-not an easy feat at 6’8”. He joins the podcast to talk with Tom Coyne about how this former accountant and freshmen basketball coach came to find himself drinking out of the Solheim Cup, and whether this dream job is a really that dreamy after all. It's been an epic day. First, Volume 22 came in the mail and then I saw this interview of my favourite member of the No Laying Up Crew. I think of Phil as being the "Everyman" golfer because of his putting struggles and other issues on the course. Bill "Skywalker" Walker, the author of numerous books about hiring the Appalachian and Pacific Crest trails also wrote a book called "Tell Stories" that touches on what it like being very tall. Walker is 6'10.

How do they make decent money? They don't monetize KZbin. They sell some apparel and have a few sponsors but it doesn't add up to support 7 employees. They have the Nest. I wonder if they have some other financial backer.
