I’m a heavy operator in NY for about 25 years and have seen my fair share of wrecks. None of them are the same. Every job is different, every rigging is different. But it all leads to a successful recovery! I enjoy watching your videos and acting learn something new with just about everyone!!! Great job Pepe and his crews!!
@MrDaveyd714 жыл бұрын
OMG guys! The number of angles and camera views you utilise during your recoveries is astounding! I don’t think people realise the physics involved in a proper and safe recovery. This video footage really opens a viewers eyes as to what is involved and, more importantly, WHY these can sometimes take hours to accomplish. Great job guys and stay safe! :-)
@CrustyRustysRestoration10 ай бұрын
Right? It’s crazy! I did two cameras in one of my vids and barely got any work done 😂 camerawork and angles take a bunch of time. Love watching these guys work! Standing on that truck frame and rigging was sketchy!

climbing on the rig while it is dangling over the edge sure was one heck of a gutsy thing to do. But like you said, "it's gotta get done" - and you got it done. I missed the live news coverage, but I am pretty sure your drone footage was a hundred times better than anything those professional news crews got for their live reports. You placed it just perfectly!

Wow, nasty looking wreck. Many years ago, I came upon a wreck that had happened in front of me at about 2am in the morning. This was before cell phones, so the only communication device I had was my CB Radio. A USPS truck pulling double trailers had ran upon some cars that were crashing on a rain soaked overpass. He severed to the right side in an attempt to avoid hitting one of the cars. He caught the guard rail with his right front tire & that pulled his tractor up over the top of the guard rail & onto the top of a concrete wall up on the bridge. Before he could get stop his tractor went up over the wall & was hanging suspended in mid air over to top of a busy road. As I came up on the accident I noticed right away that the cab was over the wall & there were 3 mangled cars along the 3 lanes of south bound travel , so I came to a stopped position in the right lanes with my flashers going. I had some battery operated flashing flares at the time so I set them up, & started talking to victims of the accident to see if everyone was o.k. Nobody seemed seriously hurt, but a lady was trapped inside her car & was freaking out. The USPS driver was also still trapped in the cab of his truck that was dangling off the over pass. I could talk to him as he had his window rolled down. He was complaining of his legs being pinned in under the steering wheel & dashboard. I ran back & started calling on channel 9 on the CB for help. I got a hold of somebody on a base station that was able to notify the local police. Once they got there things started happening pretty quick. They used a small wrecker to chain up & secure the tractor to the side of the edge of the freeway overpass, while other firefighters were working on getting the hysterical woman out of her car . Then a bucket type fire truck raised his bucket with a couple of firefighters in it, & they help the driver fee his legs so he could climb threw his window & get out of his truck. Right after he got out I left as I had to go deliver my freight. Overpass accidents are always scary.
