Its amazing how the rides differ so much vs here in Scotland. That ride would have some kind of set, walk way, lights everywhere, music, a conrol booth etc. People would be put off riding it due to how basic it would be against the other rides. Just facinating! :)

I didn't know there were 3 of them. I know Bates Brothers has one here in Ohio. Far as I knew, they were the only ones

Something you may want to look at, is there any monitoring of the backup battery's? Years ago my local show had a ride fail because the backup battery failed. With the backup system dead, the main system went into fault mode and stopped the ride which also meant it left the ride up in the air with no means to bring it down under power. The ride, "The Claw", had three spinning arms hung under a tilting boom. Before the boom hydraulics could be lowered, the arms had to be rotated. An operator had to crawl up inside the boom to turn the crank by hand (took him around 10-20 minutes to do from memory) and then they could bleed the boom hydraulics. The backup battery that caused the entire issue had zero monitoring on it at all. They went shopping and bought a simple volt meter from an automotive store to place on it so they could check it easily. This was also an European ride, but used in Australia. So, do you know what will happen to your ride if the back up battery FAILS? Ever check the backup battery on a daily basis when in use? Hopefully it's an issue that's been sorted out by now, but never hurts to double check.

Not likely to happen on a Ferris Wheel as it's such a simple system. All the battery will do is release the brakes, gravity takes care of the rest. Even if the battery were to fail, the brakes are accessible from the ground on that particular ride. Judging by the battery back up though and how modern it is, I would assume it has a diagnostic monitoring system built in. Most UPS supplies do. Even the ones for your PC.

@@mikel9567 umm, yeah. This video isn't about a ferris wheel and you should NEVER assume. Also, most retail computer UPS solutions SUCK. I've had MORE issues with the UPS failing and shutting down my computer then I have of the UPS keeping my computer powered through a short power interruption. So much so that I've built my own custom UPS. In any case, what harm does it cause to find out what, if any, monitoring systems exist AND what happens if the backup system fails AND how to unload the ride of passengers if that happens.

Are you going to try to buy a chance rides zipper cuz its a 1 trailer ride that I think only takes a couple hours to set up I think the only downside is the price to purchase one also I love your set up videos also if you only want family attractions a miami trip ride is good because it fits on 1 trailer and is easy to set up like the zipper but the price is also very expensive but then again I've never purchased a carnival ride before so maybe both rides are actually good prices.
