Hi and Welcome to our Channel.
I’m Alicia and my wife’s name is Pleshette. Our doggie's name is Charlie!
We are a married couple and full time RVers based out of Southern California. We have been on the road since November 21, 2020. We sold our house in Southern California during the 2020 pandemic and decided to start this journey a year earlier than planned.
We are nomads. We travel the roads between, to live near and play in the National Parks and beautiful spaces in these United States.
We have a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 399TH. We are 43.5' long. (Really is 44’)
And one of the things we've found to be a bit of 'an adventure' is finding truly 'BIG RIG' friendly RV parks and resorts. There are a lot of them that tell you they are, and when you arrive you find a few things that are more challenging than expected and had we known more we could prepare.
Big difference between a 44’ triple axle, 5th wheel and a 22’ truck vs. a 44 foot class A with a detachable ’toad’, tow vehicle. The maneuvering and mechanics are just different.
This video series will give you the 5th wheel perspective. In this series, we give our review of the places we've stayed and our BIG RIG Friendly review of those parks. At the end we’ll tell you if we give it a thumbs up or not.

I have lived many places and the Oregon Coast in winter is incredible. All winter long. Often in Jan there is a regular weather freak show where it’s sunny and ‘60 on the beach. I call it the’teaser’.

I recommend the State campgrounds especially Cape Lookout! Also, in Florence The Port of Siuslaw is a very nice stop in walking distance of town.

Yeah, this one was a no bueno. Since we don't stay in freezing areas for long, we either unhook and use water in our fresh water tank. We don't drink that water but for showers, dishes, etc.... or we have had electric hoses in the past too but we got rid of those because they leak and are heavy to carry around for the few instances where we need them. Was just looking at the site map for this place and another point is that there are only 7 spots for “Extra Long” 50 AMP pull through, and all of them are tight. Do you guys ever pay the extra site reservation fee at KOA? I was noticing that they are charging an extra $35 for that 😮

Thank you for watching and commenting. We never pay to reserve a spot. Most of the time its about $20. KOA charging $35, that’s ridiculous. We’re KOA members too, so we have no cancellation fees, discounts and perks. Its not much to join, definitely worth it.
